I think Merlok and Oceanea have been sitting on one point since the middle of last year. So this would be #2 for them.

Is it just me, or does Doc Diamondfire kinda sound like Scott Holliday doing a Christian Bale Batman voice? Like, hearing them both on commentary sounds like one guy talking to himself while doing different voices.

In a shocker, Barksdale counters the Rydeen Bomb into a rana and pins Hallowicked! Serve me a piece of crow, why don't you?

Alright, now it's Xyberhawx2000 (Razerhawk and Nytehawk) vs. FIST (Deppen & Huckabee).

Nytehawk hits the corner and gets rolled up by Huckabee. FIST wins in a disappointingly short match.

Why couldn't Chikara work with the Barnstormers when I was working there?!

First fall goes to Kim & the Whisper after an avalanche German suplex to Crummels (where Crummels also superplexed Whisper).

Whisper and Kim get into an argument while Whisper is on Crummels's shoulders, Kim accidentally pushes Whisper into a reverse rana and they win by knockout. The ending may have been a botch, and Crummels may have actually been knocked out.
And that concludes National Pro Wrestling Day 2019. Gotta say, kind of an underwhelming show overall. A number of the matches, including the main event, seemed to go shorter than they needed, and aside from the Dasher/Touchdown and Blank/Ford segments and Juan being expelled from Ecuador, nothing really seemed to be set up for the upcoming season.

Hadn't seen that Lucas Calhoun promo before. He indicated that Axel Ford has "rode off into the sunset" now that he has his journal back. Wants a one on one match with Volgar. I think he'd gonna do a gimmick match with him, maybe a chain match since that's been Volgar's gimmick. He even said he's been "chained to Volgar" for a while in his promo, I believe, so yeah, it's safe to assume it'll be a chain match.

So it's gonna be a smaller season this year right? Factory shows being just the themed ones and losing the Hour of Power?

By the sounds of things, CHIKARA continues to sound like it's on the decline of my interests which is a damn shame for where they used to be...

I never really have anything negative to say about Chikara but having the guy who is supposed to be in charge literally say he doesn't know what's going on with the top title is absolutely ridiculous.
Imagine if Jack Tunney had come out after the twin referee thing and said "I DON'T KNOW..."

So those of you who were paying attention early on Twitter today prob'ly saw me start raging at the IW Twitter people as to the stream not working AT ALL on PS4. I did end up getting a response from them about 45 minutes in (fifteen minutes after switching to PC to actually be able to watch and a good 20+ minutes after three I sent specifically to them went unanswered while they retweeted stuff), one I somehow did not even see until now.
Turns out that they've been having issues with streaming on PS4 for the past week or so, which they're looking into. Would've been nice to have known about that prior, but at least I wasn't alone there.

That last part's been a problem for Chikara for at least a few Seasons now. I'm a firm believer in everything needing to be furthering something, and a lot of stuff just seems to be there, going nowhere, or getting cut off midway through because someone's leaving (which I honestly expect the Ford stuff to since she's been linked to AEW) or for no real discernable reason (Clan Feuds!). I never really have anything negative to say about Chikara but having the guy who is supposed to be in charge literally say he doesn't know what's going on with the top title is absolutely ridiculous. Imagine if Jack Tunney had come out after the twin referee thing and said "I DON'T KNOW..." I started using #ImpeachRemsburg as a hashtag at the tail end of last Season, and I used it again yesterday. Regardless of how I feel about the man personally (and I haven't been big on him since he tried to pull a guilt trip on me back in July), his reign as DoF may even be worse than Quack's, which is an accomplishment because Quack's was plenty bad.

Bryce makes me miss the days of Dieter von Stiegerwalt. At least he was competent in anything not related to the BDK.

Was watching back some classic CHIKARA stuff earlier.
Good lord, how good was Archibald Peck?
Chuck Taylor, too. The interactions between them were priceless but there was just so much to love.
I am hesitant to criticise CHIKARA and be one of those hankering for the good old days, because time moves on, but I never thought CHIKARA would. I always hoped it would just find it's way but I think it kind of got too wrapped up in itself and lost the plot and never really got it back.
I think Ashes was the start of that, and it's just been getting worse ever since.
