Or 2020 or w/e?
For the longest time, there was one big reason this match couldn't happen, because HBK since 2010 was done wrestling and that was it. Now, since that streak is over as of November 2018, anything is (technically more) possible.
They were teasing said match in 2013, but Michaels was still 'done forever' at that time. Should Shawn/Daniel happen now?

Nah, I'm straight, bro. Whenever I see Shawn Michaels these days, it reminds me of Michael Jackson on "The Simpsons."

There was a time when it could have made a decent addition to a story, during the Authority vs Bryan story, have Triple H throwing one more obstacle in Bryan's way by bringing in someone important to both of them, Michaels going back on his word to come out of retirement and try and destroy his former student and steal his spotlight. Questions of divided loyalties, maybe showing Bryan respect after the match and being attacked by the Authority afterwards for not getting the job done, only to be saved by the man he trained... There's all kinds of possibilities.
Now, if it was triumphant hero 53 year old Michaels saving the WWE from that dastardly Daniel Bryan? Zero interest.

I wouldn't hate the idea entirely, but if HBK came back for one last singles match I'd want it to be The Rock. It'll never happen, and it'd be more than a decade too late, but it would be cool to check that off the "biggest match that never happened" list.

I'd book it with HBK coming back to give a speech about something, and Daniel Bryan just bloodying him (or as close to you can get these days) Didn't train me, just took my money, now trying to take my spotlight, I'll make it so you can't ever return again yadda yadda yadda It is a much more interesting matchup with heel Daniel Bryan trying to destroy HBK I think.

I didn't see the Crown Jewel match (doubt I ever will) so I don't know how HBK looked, but THE time for this match IMO was after this segment.
Would I still be interested if they announced it? Sure, probably. Just don't know if it's something I feel I need to see.

Does Shawn still have that hunting show? I won't lie, extremist vegan Bryan attacking him on the set of the show as part of a feud would be both hilarious and awesome.

No. He can clearly still "go" to some extent but I don't wanna see HBK wrestle anymore.

What was odd is how ho hum the whole Shawn comeback was. It was kinda like he just came back or whatever, did a crappy tag match, and left again. Right now SD is in some pretty dire shape in terms of top guys though. They have burned through Bryan/Styles too fast, so I have no idea what they will do at WM in terms of a WWE championship match. I'd honestly shift Balor or someone to SD for that.

No thank you. I would rather see Kofi or Andrade at 'mania taking on The New Daniel Bryan.

DB's whole "None of you are worthy of life because you're not vegans and you consume shit" stuff seems kind of hollow when he's the primary reason that so many of the younger generation of wrestlers are vegans.

Sure *shrug* I didn’t watch The PPV That Shall Not Be Named but if he can go, he can go. And with the right story? Hell yeah.
Not gonna lie though I’d prefer a match against AJ.
“Ohhhh bUt wHo WoUlD gO oVeR?!?” Ok Shawn.

I want him to stay retired. And it has nothing to do with crown jewel, and honestly, I reallly don’t count that. It’s not cheating imo to comeback and wrestle the guy who retired you.

No. Shawn is retired. There are plenty of people to work with Daniel Bryan on the current roster, or NXT if need be.
