He looks like Ron Howard. Have him come back and call his finisher "Arrested Development." The character comes full circle. New boom period.

Those that have met and talked with Nailz in the past 25 years must have found his real voice (without the WWF distortion effect) pretty damn jarring: Wow I never heard him without the voice distortion, yeah I can see why he needed it damn. He sounds like Artie Pye from The Simpsons. No wonder they distorted his voice.

Those recent pictures were an awesome find, Perfect Timing. Where did you find them? Also, they don't seem to be coming up anymore, what is with not being able to find pics of this guy?

After much, much searching and looking into his family I found his wife’s Facebook profile those 2 photos are actually family pictures I cropped them out to be respectful to his family I also wrote his wife on Facebook and asked why he doesn’t make appearances no response from her yet. I’ve also tracked down Murray Hodgson I’ve seemec to have started a hobby looking for wrestling talents that completely fell off the radar.

Dunno why Wacholz is so fascinating. I suppose his quick WWF exit and the circumstances have something to do with it, as was his vanishing after the 90s. Can't believe he was doing the character at least up till *1999*. I also think that before the likes of Raven and such, this was the most drastic change of character I ever saw, and I used to be interested to know that Nailz and AWA's Kevin Kelly were one and the same.
Despite the plotholes, Nailz was an interesting character. Didn't bother me that he couldn't wrestle, as why would an ex con have to? Wonder if wrestling hardcore matches would have helped to mask his weaknesses...would Heyman have been able to work that Sandman/Public Enemy magic if, perish the thought, Nailz went to ECW? (Don't laugh, as Nailz was on the World Wrestling Network pilot in the Manhattan Center ...which I think Heyman booked...)

I think if Nailz was choking Vince McMahon over Summerslam pay off, I don't think Paul Heyman would be alive today if Nailz had worked for ECW. He definitely is a fascinating character and person. I get that people just move on from their famous work lives but the fact that NO pictures exist on google images of what he looks like today is crazy to me. Like, no one has met the guy and taken a picture? Or no one has met the guy? Today, everyone and anything gets pictures taken, it seems. Someone mentioned he sounded like Owen Hart in the one promo. It also comes off like Owen with his "kick his leg" interview. It's surprising that the company used his whole gimmick and didn't bother to buy something that would alter his voice. And I wonder if he used the prisoner gimmick in his WCW match with Barry Darsow. I wonder a lot about the Nailz character and the man...

I am kinda surprised at how much work he got after this, even if he never stayed anywhere long. Might speak to the effectiveness of the Bossman program that there was enough buzz to be enough to consider working with that crackpot.

I don't think you're the only one fond of him. I found those on another forum.

The alleged victim of Vince McMahon's sexual advances. Considering Vince McMahon allowed himself to have his face put into Rikishi's butt, I'm not sure I would discount a man claiming sexual harassment from Vince. Nailz is probably lying, though. LOL.

Nailz was one scary character as a kid, from the scary voice in the vignettes to that bad ass beating he put Bossman through when he showed up, to him pretty much spitting as he talked, and whop can forget that face off with The Undertaker. Shitty wrestler or not, he certainly had a presence and was believable as someone you would be scared of. I think id have rather seen Undertaker vs Nailz feud as opposed to Undertaker vs Giant Gonazales

Whenever Nailz is speaking, someone in the production truck presses a button to get the voice effect through the mic.

There's one photo of him as Mr. Magnificent, with the long hair and smiling and until recently I always thought that was Steve Austin. I had never looked at the type on the photo noting who it actually was.

Whenever Nailz is speaking, someone in the production truck presses a button to get the voice effect through the mic. On a Superstars episode on the Network, he's holding the microphone and looks at someone at ringside to cue him to start, so the voice effect may have been controlled from there. In a nice attempt at continuity, Mr. Perfect blamed Nailz's voice on Boss Man hitting him in the throat with the nightstick when Nailz was a prisoner.

As a kid, I always though Nailz' voice effect was supposed to be like one of those tricks they'd use to hide someone's identity on shows dealing with true crime. No idea why they would bother to do that when they were clearly showing his face, though.

There is very visible latency from mic to effect to output. At times it looks like a lip sync.

I forget: did Bossman admit abusing Nailz, or was Nailz supposed to be lying? I don't think they ever really said, but remember he would've been a heel back in those days when he was a Prison Guard, so... Watching OSW Review, they didn't cover the weekly shows but on the PPVs at least Bossman never seems to actually deny anything. Those recent pictures were an awesome find, Perfect Timing. Where did you find them? Also, they don't seem to be coming up anymore, what is with not being able to find pics of this guy? Why?
