As much as I want to include Best Friends in the list...they're technically off the table...so here are some others briefly:
Chainsaw King: A big man who can get the crowd involve...and a cool dude to boot.
Hallowicked: I feel he's due outside the realm of Chikara.
Icarus: See Hallowicked.
Christian Rose: I have a soft spot for the unabashed midwestern jerk.
Thunderkitty: Can't be any worse than her Smackdown debut...right?

She’s signed to impact, but I’m pretty sure a working agreement with them is imminent so I doubt it’ll be an issue You think? After the GFW fiasco I’d guess they’d be super gun shy about them. Venture to say the elite are really more high profile than Impact itself at this point... They’ve got the Callis connection, and I honestly think AEW wants to work with as many promotions as possible to get access to contracted wrestlers. Impact isn’t any sort of threat to them, so why not work with them to get access to guys like Cage or The Lucha Bros (depending on LU)

John Skyler is a dude I have been behind since the first time I saw him almost 10 years ago. He's flirted with the big time, having worked several matches for NXT, but never got picked up. He could be a huge breakout star of given the right platform. Jake Manning is a dude I have always wanted to see on a bigger stage as well. His gimmick is goofy on the surface, but my god that man knows how to get genuine heat with it, and he's f***ing fantastic in the ring. He's got a close connection to the Elite guys through Highspots, so I hope he gets the call. Corey Hollis is another dude who has flirted with NXT, and has been a main event star for PWX for awhile now. He's been both a partner and enemy of John Skyler, and both the team and the feud could do well on a national stage. The Washington Bullets are a tag team of brothers who seem to be lacking only a booking in a larger company in order to break through. They could have amazing matches with the Bucks. This is an absolute darkhorse, but there is a guy named Zuka King who has only been in the business a couple of years. He has a lot of work ahead of him still, but he is taking to the business like an absolute natural. His mic and character work is pretty great, and his ring work is already better than it really has any right to be. If he could get an opportunity to learn under the people already associated with AEW, he could be a huge star in a few years. How do I not know about a tag team named the Washington Bullets? That's freakin great...We need the "Emerald City Sonics" as well now

Agreed Christian showed in DreamWave for years that he has the charisma and charm of a bitter asshole...Plus his twitter is gold and you got to love anyone that pays homage to the Dark Tower series

Just thought of someone who been off the radar since he left Impact a couple years ago. What about James Storm? Ton of wrestling on TV experience. Solid worker and talker.

Evans is one of the only guys I've seen who can manage being a heel while having that kind of offense, which is impressive, but I like Angelico's look. Even if I can't un-see how people dubbed him "Lean Ambrose".

Having a hard time narrowing down my choices, but I'd go with a formula of one male tag team, one female tag team and one manager/mouthpiece. I'm very much hoping AEW has a strong tag focus and books the champs to feel as important and must-see as the top tier singles champs.

Eddie Kingston, Jervis Cottonbelly, Kris Wolf, Ophidian, Orange Cassidy. What's the deal with Eddie Kingston these days? 10 years ago I'd have absolutely had him in any promotion but apart from a ropey TNA run he's just done nothing of note since he quit Chikara. Is he just that good at pissing people off? Chris Masters could be fun if they played into his all-too-shortlived status as memetic manly badass for using a tree to save his mother from a house fire. Raven as a booker/commentator would be fantastic. I actually love his hyperactive speech style and find him very engaging. Likewise, Nash as a commentator/comedic personality could be fun, just don't let him near the book or the ring. I'd argue that part of the buzz around Kingston was his promo work, something that was coming out about once a month at least at one point with CHIKARA and something I know a lot of fans of the product back in the day anticipated with every release. While Kingston still does do promos, they're not as consistent, nor are they on a platform as visible as a hot promotion like CHIKARA was at the time. The big issue with Kingston was that he burned bridges with a lot of major promotions due to his struggles with his demons in the past, like PWG. He's done some great work in AAW and he's done some stuff for Beyond, but largely his biggest vehicle in his post-CHIKARA career has been TNA, who largely haven't emphasized his positives nearly as much as a place like CHIKARA did.

Yeah, for a while Kingston's biggest problem has always been himself. He just completely torches basically everywhere he worked save for CHIKARA at some point. and then Impact had no idea what to do with him.

Raven in a backstage role
Nicole Matthews
Hart Foundation (Assuming MLW contracts don’t count and Davey isn’t contracted to NJPW. I’ll count as one just in case)
Jimmy Havoc
David Arquette

I'll also throw Los Güeros del Cielo (Evans/Angélico) into the mix, as AEW should really aim to have the best tag division in the world. Both are thankfully free of LU.
Penta/Fenix would be another tag team, with either obviously able to be a singles player as well.
Then, depending on their contract situation with Impact, I'd look for OI4K (sans Callihan) and The Rascalz (who have ties with OWE/StrongHearts already).
Yes, that was eight picks.
