I just got my bank statement, and the listing for WWE Network, previously 9.99 was listed as 10.69. Still not too substantial of an increase.

Looks more like a tax was added than an increase in the fee.

I’ve been charged 9.99 plus tax since the beginning I’m sure.

Maybe it is just tax. Heck, getting technical it's really just a 70 cent increase. Wonder why they're charging tax now though, since it was a straight 9.99 prior to this.

Last month I bought a 3-month Network card from GameStop, and it came with added sales tax. So I guess that's the norm for all Network purchases. Perhaps slowly but surely becoming the norm for every purchase of everything internet related. (Not saying it makes me mad or anything, it is what it is. Hey, at least we get representation for all this taxation, rite? )

I'm not sure exactly, but I semi-remember a few states in the last year passing bills on taxing online entertainment. Could just be the went into effect.

More and more states are adding sales taxes to digital goods. If it was a legit price increase, it wouldn't be just $0.70. It'd be at least $1 more.

Here's a handy guide for those unsure of tax changes for online goods: Translation: there are more states charging now than they had before, and a good chunk of them only went into effect in the last 3-4 months.

Though, I didn't buy many entertainment based gift cards, last Christmas.

In the UK we're paying $12.97 anyway.

Yeah why DO we pay more in the UK? That makes zero sense? Because the WWE network was advertised as being "9.99" world wide. Not "nine dollars and ninety-nine cents", "nine ninety-nine".

Received my second perk from the Network, which I assume will.become part of the eventual price increase. Got a free ticket in my local market to the Paige movie (first come, first served of course).

My mother has the Network and got that same deal but I didn't. We've both been subscribers since day one. We're like the Usos.

That maybe the case, but it does not change the fact that it has always been astonishingly unfair that UK fans pay more than US fans. In Japan do they charge 9.99 Yen? Very much doubt it because then they would be paying a lot less than 9.99 dollars - which WWE would never let happen. Genuinely don’t know what they do in Canada - is it 9.99 Canadian dollars?
