Don’t forget Ted Dibiase and Mike Rotunda becoming their wwe gimmicks in wcw. You can't trademark being rich, and Ted bore no other vestiges of the gimmick (the sequined suits, the $ belt, "everybody's got a price"). Rotunda did not take his WWE gimmick with him. He started the "Million Dollar Man" rip-off Michael Wallstreet in WCW, went to WWF as the tax man, then returned to WCW and his old gimmick of millionaire Michael Wallstreet, just without as many millions as before, it seems and then VK Wallstreet for some stupid reason. I disagree, Ted Dibiase was the exact same character he was in the wwf from the mannerism to the suits. Before going to the wwf and when he was in Mid South, Ted never acted like that. I always thought Michael Wallstreet was after IRS wow.

Here's what Ted dressed like in WCW: Everything that was "character-specific" about him was stripped away. There was nothing "Million Dollar Man" about him visually anymore, and like I said, you can't trademark "rich". As far as never acting like that in Mid-South, that's not completely 100% true. In fact, if you recall the famous "Loser Leaves Town Tuxedo Coal Miner's Glove on a Pole Steel Cage Match" with Duggan in '85, it was born out of an angle that had the two of them trying to one-up each other as big shots, dressing in tuxes, etc. There were several other times where he did very MDM-type stuff in Mid-South as a heel and I seem to recall him even having a promo after a heel turn where he actually says "everbody's got a price!" I'll see if I can locate that one on YT. But yeah, heel DiBiase in Mid-South was always set to seem to have finer tastes and such. After his big face turn, he was just a no nonsense asskicker, but before that? You can see a little bit of what I'm talking about in this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-3JCODSpu0 around 2:30 in

I only knew him as a badass as part of the Rat Pack and then when he betrayed Duggan, now you’re telling me that he also said everybody has a price? My mind is blown.

To be fair, visually Ted Dibase was pretty much the same as he was in the WWF because he ditched the sequined suits back in 1993 when he stopped wrestling, by 1994-1996 when he was a manager he just dressed in plain suits as he did in WCW

During the height of the Million Dollar Corporation he had it on, but photos of him in normal suits seem to be more populous via Google (which is for the best, that jacket looked like those big baggy '90s sport team coats)

I think the bigger story here is that Bischoff to this day apparently still thinks having Nitro be a NWO show and Thunder being the WCW show would of been a good, money making idea. And in the twenty years since WWE has tried a similar idea twice.

And in the twenty years since WWE has tried a similar idea twice. Big difference though. Aside from Survivor Series (One night a year the Stars of Raw and Smackdown go head to head) time, neither SmackDown or Raw are presented as being an invading force in the company who are all heels. They are presented solely as a split in the roster who are attached to different TV shows / Touring Schedules.

nWo would have officially taken over Monday Nitro. Top to bottom, it would have been nWo's show. WCW would have been over on Thunder had it played out the way that I hoped for it.

I don’t think Bischoff was interested anyway because I heard him say once in a promo that was totally not written by Triple H that the one guy he was always after that could’ve changed the Monday Night Wars was Triple H.

I'm just guessing but I think Taker would've got at least 1 Main Event match, if only for Hogan to get his win back from Survivor Series 91. After that he would've been back in the mid card though. Anything else just don't work for me brother

If he did jump, Yokozuna would also get in(since Hall and Hogan were trying to get him in anyways) and he and Taker will form a BSK stable with Brian Adams. Big difference in WCW they would have no power unlike in the WWF. That was in the hands of Hogan and Nash, they couldn't do anything if one of those guys didn't allow it. Don't believe me ask Bret Hart. Besides Hogan only wanted Yoko so he could get his win back from King of the Ring

Had Taker jumped to WCW, he would have played Bikertaker pretty much identical to how he did in the WWF, crap matches, bad attitude and no putting anyone over unless it's one of his buddies. People would blame it on WCW's chaos and give him a pass for it, rather than... Well, giving him a pass for it because he had good matches 3-4 years down the line.
