It’s over. D’Amore made the product better, unfortunately he came more than ten years late. Cue Jim Morrison, this is the end. Ten thousand people on tv, and another ten thousand people watching it on twitch? How is that a positive? How is impact even making money anymore? I suspect it’s largely because of their international TV deals and Sony Six in particular. Because they sure as heck aren’t making any sizable income in the States. At this point, Anthem might be better off just biting the bullet and selling the assets to WWE. The two sides met last year, so why not? By "assets" do your mean the entire company, or do you mean just specific parts of the company? If you mean the latter, the Global Wrestling Network (if that's still a thing) might be the hitch in this plan. The only asset that Impact has that the WWE would want is their tape library (hey, who wants the best AJ Styles DVD Set ever?), and if they lose that then Anthem loses the only appeal that the GWN has, and the GWN is possibly the only genuine money-maker that Impact has.

I started laughing before the page even loaded. I wonder if they'll start trying to push Twitch views as ratings there was only about 10,000 viewers when i checked it out so probably not instead Josh will go on a twitter rant about how tv ratings don’t matter. And since I was watching the stream, I can verify that the peak of the viewership hit around 10,633 for a clip involving Smokin' Joe Frazier's sparring match with Jeff Hardy.

That terrible moment when your ratings are too low to register a zero.

They should be making enough money that they dont have to deal with pay issues anymore.

I hope this story blows up so much that we get the revival of Douchebag Josh.

What's sad is that there's some actual talent on this show at the moment and almost no one is actually seeing the show anymore. This actually kind of depresses me since I would consider myself kind of a TNA die hard, having watched several of the weekly PPVs back in 2002-03, watched Impact on Spike almost every week, followed them to Destination America, even to the lowly Pop TV. I'd consider the 2007 Louisville Gardens house show I went to the best house show I've ever seen. I'd watch now if I actually had Pursuit.
I have barely messed with Twitch TV. A friend of mine watches old TNA on there though, says they just show random episodes from various years out of order. One was from 2007, then something from the Aces and Eights era, etc. Does it cost anything to watch the current shows on there?

It seems to be free as I don’t have an account. It might be something like if your not a member you can watch the stream but can’t use the chat which from what i’ve seen is a benefit. The morning of impact I checked it out to see how it works and they were airing BFG 2009.

They should be making enough money that they dont have to deal with pay issues anymore. How are they even able to make money? They don’t run regular shows, is twitch or pursuit paying them something? I don’t think Sony Six even pays that well.

And they honestly thought they'd be getting millions of viewers after Smackdown moves to Friday and air after it

I don’t think Sony Six even pays that well. Twitch is "supposedly" paying them but we dont know how much.(It should be decent because even Bouer is considering moving MLW to twitch as well)
The Sony Six deal is definitely carrying them though.
"TNA has a long-term deal with Sony SIX in place, which runs till 2022, and is worth approximately $60 million."

Sixty million a year or in total?

Sixty million a year or in total? Total. The deal was set in 2016 that means its a six year deal that ends in 2022. If I’m not mistaken Impact gets ten million dollars a year from Sony Six. That’s actually better than I thought. Unfortunately that might be their only income.

... The size of the audience matters dummy, bigger audience means more money.

... The size of the audience matters dummy, bigger audience means more money. Well to be fair, Jordynne is an indie wrestler, so Impact at low ebb is still a lot more viewers than are usually watching her. ...it's not an amazingly insightful remark for her to make though. Sad Gizzark, Jordynne mark, is sad. there was only about 10,000 viewers when i checked it out so probably not instead Josh will go on a twitter rant about how tv ratings don’t matter. I wish I was joking, sadly. Viewership reached over 10K viewers during the very long commercial break that Pursuit had which went over 10 minutes, to which Impact showed the majority of their inaugural Ultimate X match, followed up with a scene from "the Broken Saga" on Twitch (the one I mentioned). It fell to around 8K after this and would rise back to around 9K for Impact vs. Kross, considering it was around 11:45PM Eastern. I'm interested in seeing how Impact's viewership on Twitch will look this week.

Is Grace seriously bragging that only ten thousand people watched her on tv?
