So, this tournament will go through the last 100 years or horror movies (I would go all the way back to the beginning, but I seriously doubt many on here would have seen some of the earliest horror movies, so, I'll start with the last decade of the silent era). This will go by different years, decades, eras, and then finally we will come down to what FAN believes in the Best Horror Film of all time.
So, let's start with 1919-1922. Feel free to explain your choices, as well as mention any other horror films you've seen from this list.

Nosferatu, due to how Orlok is portrayed and the film's impact on all horror films afterwards.
Haxan is stunning but doesn't have the narrative force Nosferatu has. Caligheri has that surrealistic landscape that looks like a set in the best possible way. Destiny has amazing visuals as well.
The Phantom Carriage is fascinating, almost has a Ghost Rider feel to it.

Barrymore Hyde is really good. Assuming Monster of Frankenstein is Edison's Frankenstein..if so it is really good. Haxen is good but a bit long. Nosferatu is a classic but one I am not a huge fan of. Voted for Caligari. One of the few silent films I can watch often.

Nosferatu got my vote. Pretty terrifying imagery for way back when. Classic stuff.

I went for CALIGARI. Such a fantastic looking movie for the time. NOSFERATU was great too, but I would put CALIGARI slightly over it.
Little longer on the poll. I think I'm going to make the next one a day and a half vs. two days. I'll probably kill this one a few hours earlier than the deadline, so, get those last minute votes in.

Two game changers in there. Nosferatu and Caligari. I went for the latter, first saw it when I was 13 and it changed many of my views on old films and horror pretty much instantly.
Is there a list of movies in this, or do we get to nominate?
