Every Brock match since Summerslam 2014 has been in the form of suplex city. It’ll either be a straight up squash with just suplexes or it might be a more competence back and forth match, but there’s always at least a section of suplex city in it when Brock has the momentum.
Finn targeted Brock’s abdomen and weakened him and Brock couldn’t hit the suplexes. I thought that was great!
Now Rollins at Mania should keep flipping out of every German and land on his feet, frustrating Brock. That would rule

I've been all over Brock and made my wish for him to leave very clear. That said, dude sold like a maniac for Balor

I wish we lived in a world where there would be a rematch and Finn finally puts the big guy down for good.

Best match of the night, by far. Further proof that you can tell a fine story without going on and on and on and on.. Sasha/Ronda should have been booked exactly like this. Anyway. Something I posted in the live thread (edited slightly cause I'm sober now):
Brock should be doing the Taker gig from a few years ago and appearing every couple of months for a big match. He can still be an attraction and he's capable of fun matches. Taker never needed the title and neither does Brock at this point.
It's the holding hostage of the Universal title that has just been *insert synonyms for abysmal* here.

Finn walked away from that match looking like a goddamn million bucks. Took the fight straight to Bork and had him on the (proverbial) ropes before giving him enough of an opening to slap on the kimura and remind everyone "oh yeah, dude does have stuff other than suplexes in the arsenal doesn't it?"

I've had a few hours to sleep on what happened and, to be honest, I'm okay with it now.

For whatever reason, Brock was really invested in making Finn look like a million bucks. It was nice to see, and I hope they have a rematch, with Brock willing to go that step further, and actually put Finn over.
Just imagine the scenes of Becky and Finn both winning at Wrestlemania, and Finn coming out to hug his friend and fellow Irish hero at the end of the show.

It was one of those very rare cases where a tap out left the loser looking stronger than a pin after a single F5 would have.
Finn had to tap or his arm would be broken.
I hate when people eat a pin after a single F5 with no build.

Finn coming out to hug his friend and fellow Irish hero at the end of the show. I don't think Sheamus does the hugs, Fella.

I legit thought Brock was injured from the table spots. Either he was, or he's a lot better at selling than people might give him credit for. Or both.
Either way, while I was hoping for a shock title win, they still made Finn look like a million bucks, and having Brock be a dick and attack him after might garner some face sympy for Finn.

Only grievance I had with the match was the aftermath. Balor was made to look like he was a huge threat who took Brock to the absolute limit only to lose on a total fluke, but then post-match Brock just goes, "LOL, done selling now," and gets in his usual spots and stands tall like it's nothing. Just felt like it was there so they can put the focus more on, "Brock crushed him," in the aftermath than on how close a fight it actually was.

I really think they might surprise us and give us Beast vs. Demon at Wrestlemania.
I don't care about Balor at all, but I actively hate Lesnar, so hopefully they'll do the right thing and make the title switch there.

Brocks best matches are the ones like the Joe one where he barely escaped with his life if he wins.

They put over Finn hard doing commentary liked they tried to do with Ambrose when he fought Brock at Mania. Basically said Brock kicked into the autopilot so he never actually kicked out the finisher but more so put the submission on because his instincts kicked in
Brock also made him look great and sold everything with purpose as he usually does. What goes underrated always is how good a seller and bumper Brock is for his size which makes it infuriating when he gets lazy but I digress
The only thing I didn't like was that F-5 during the beatdown as it felt unnecessary but compared to beating up Finn after the bell but they put it over heavily by saying Brock only did that because he knew he was this close to losing

I like how Bork's matches are short. They need to get over the idea that long matches automatically make things "epic" or entertaining.

Finn looked great and lost due to getting caught. He established and exploited a weakness and made Brock almost human. It was good storytelling and a good match.

It's a testament to how crummy commentary is that no one called Finn hitting those repeated dives to the outside on Brock "Senton City".
And the postmatch would have also been more tolerable with better commentary. They just sort of presented it as "Brock being Brock" instead of a petulant attack based on Brock realizing how badly he had gotten his ass kicked/scoring a lucky win by capitalizing on the one mistake Finn made of staying close to Brock for just a second too long.
