I like that Bret and Anvil are going in, but were they really managed by Jimmy Hart long enough for him to be in the induction as well? Maybe i'm remembering wrong, but I don't remember Jimmy being with them for all that long. Jimmy managed them for 3 years (spring 1985 to spring 1988).

So due to Vince's grudges, are we getting to where they have to induct guys twice into the HOF?

Maybe i'm remembering wrong, but I don't remember Jimmy being with them for all that long. He was only with the Hart Foundation proper for a year, but he managed Neidhart for three. I'd say it counts. The Rougeau Brothers bought a piece of the Harts contract. They should get in too.

Same with 4 Horsemen, I cant understand why Arn Anderson and the rest of the Horsemen didn't get inducted on their own instead they were inducted as a group
I could see tag teams being done if theyre individually not strong enough to go in together, like Rock and Roll Express

I think they maybe just didn't want to have people pulling, "Hyuck hyuck, Koko!" shit about the induction, because wrestling fans have the tact of a gorilla with explosive diarrhea sometimes.

I don’t care about anything else other than the fact that one of the greatest tag teams (and their manager) of all-time are being inducted. It’s deserved.

Should have just been The Anvil inducted by Bret and Nattie.

I like this move. If Neidhart was put in by himself he would get a nice pop since he recently passed. He’d also get that polite respectful reaction because he does deserve to be in there but the Hart Foundation as a tag team should get a thunderous ovation because they are definitely overdue to be in. Neidhart is remembered most for the Hart Foundation. They were one of the greatest tag teams of the 80s. WWE could honestly headline the HOF with this one. Have Natalya do the open and Bret give the long speech to close out the show. It doesn’t get much better than that for the HOF these days.

I wonder, do you suppose part of doing this is to not have the fabled limit on inducting the deceased in one year be as much of a problem? Like, since Bret's alive, someone who may otherwise have been left off who is dead might get in this year?

If rumours are to be believed, they held off Bam Bam Bigelow’s induction last year just so he could be inducted in New Jersey this year.

They should have done this when The Anvil was still alive.

That crooked Danny Davis is rigging the Hall of Fame so all of his buddies get inducted.

They should have done this when The Anvil was still alive. I don’t agree with that. Growing up, The Anvil was one of my favourite guys and when my friends and I were wrestling I always pretended to be him. But I just don’t think his singles career was worthy of induction. Yes, as a tag team The Harts could have gone in at any point but The Anvil was not high on the list of overdue inductions.

I’m fine with guys being inducted two or three times.
This works on a few different levels.
Not to take away anything from the hall, but there’s no governing body or community that votes. It just a feel good moment for those still in good graces with the company. So it’s fine.

They should have done this when The Anvil was still alive. Same could be said about Vader, someone they KNEW was on borrowed time and yet didn't even make the effort to get him in while he could still do it and was still around.

Like, since Bret's alive, someone who may otherwise have been left off who is dead might get in this year? Well, they inducted Big Boss Man in the same class as the Fabulous Freebirds. So maybe Vince is okay with multiple posthumous inductions if one or two of them are masked a bit in a tag team or a stable. Jimmy Hart being inducted again seems excessive though. Is Mr Fuji going to be inducted again with Demolition? Captain Lou with the British Bulldogs? Sensational Sherri with Harlem Heat? As for this class, they must have run into a problem with securing a headliner. It reminds me of the 2010 class when they couldn't get Warrior. I didn't mind that class because they really had some interesting inductions like Gorgeous George, Mad Dog Vachon, Stu Hart, Ted DiBiase, and Antonio Inoki. Hopefully this class mirrors that a bit. They should have done this when The Anvil was still alive. Same could be said about Vader, someone they KNEW was on borrowed time and yet didn't even make the effort to get him in while he could still do it and was still around. Stephanie McMahon even cut a promo on Big Show a few years back where she flat out says that giants do not typically live as long as others. Knowing that, inducting some of the super heavyweights should have been high on the list.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were holding out for Taker to let them know if he was actually going to wrestle again this year or not; if not, he'd get his induction as headliner. Otherwise, I wouldn't be too surprised if Kane gets the nod instead.

Just to clear it up, the OG Hart Foundation, so no Pillman, Davey or Owen. No Danny Davis though either. Oh, that sucks
