seriously voting for Gavin just ruing Rick's entire game, what a bitter vote He, like I do, probably subscribes to the theory that just because you do something stupid and it pays off, doesn’t make it less stupid. Just like Going all in with 7-2 offsuit on the flop and catching running 2s to win the pot doesn’t make you good at poker. Rick had Gavin raise his hand timidly, TO TALK FOR HIM lol it was crystal clear (when he asked who was never voted for) that Rick was a Gavin Plant no matter how many circles Chris argued around him. That is obviously Survivor wear and tear, especially aaaaaaaaalmost going as far as you can in the game but being cut off at the knees by Chris. But I would have respected Devens more if he realized Chris was winning, and did so purely because of Rick's own mantle that was game hunted by Chris in fair-or-even-spectacular-play with a Fire Challenge. Don't be salty. This is why Russell Hantz never won, and as the guy who I thought was the 2nd coming of Russ, it's ugly on Devens lol

I think that’s a fun idea.
I imagine some people will be pleased because this certainly means they’re never playing again.

I don’t think Chris was an undeserving winner per se, but I think him winning was an unsatisfying conclusion to this season.
I would have preferred a Devens, Lauren or Victoria win.
I don’t begrudge them for giving the EoE theme a shot, but I would be in no rush to go back to it and I worry that Chris’s win might validate the idea to producers.
As for the final vote, I think Wardog said it best in that you couldn’t let it become a referendum on the season’s gimmick. It would be unfair to Chris who played in the confines of those new rules. Certainly, there’s an argument to be made that Gavin played a better “traditional” game, but Chris thrived with this season’s theme.

Looking back, this was a bottom 10 season of survivor for sure.

It wasn’t the best season, but if it wasn’t going to be a strategy heavy season, it had to be an absurd bonkers season. At least it was that.

chris gets an asterisk next to his win until the end of time. what a f*** of a season. Him getting Devens to give him the 2 piece idol and getting Lauren to flush her idol is still more then anything Ben did on his season other then "find" idols and vote in the minority over and over and need the f4 twist just to make FTC. Him taking out the production plant at the last second and having casuals turn on a stupid twist they would have loved if Devens won is a good thing.

I don't blame Chris at all. He used what the game gave him and used it well. Plus, I can at least enjoy his win for its total absurdity. How hilariously random.
I do, however, blame the producers for implementing such a momentum-killing twist, spamming the game with too many idols and advantages, and ultimately throwing its own cast under the bus (especially the ones who didn't get voted out and rely on idols round after round). Twists should never be the driving force of any Survivor season; it should always be the cast. This season completely neglected the latter.
I will sign off on this season's discussion by saying I formally request that Sandra statue be placed in my living room.

Not as good as what the rumor mill is reporting for season 40. Finally... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}ALL WINNERS! {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Word is Rob and Sandra didn’t want to play in that season and either they or the producers came up with the advice idea as another way to use them.
Plus keeping them out of an all winners season makes smoke sense, they’d be distracting and they’d get voted out really quickly. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Please tell me Professor Bob, the most underrated winner, is going to be back with his bow tie buffs.

I doubt Rob and Sandra won’t enter the game at some point and pretty much get a free bye to the merge/jury. I read an article that said they the two of them are roughhousing it out there and living within the elements on their own island. They aren’t chilling at ponderosa. Why would they do that if they weren’t going to return?

I heard nothing great about this season or the finale, but I heard a loooooot of bad. I think I tapped out in the 2nd episode, and I believe it was the right choice. Here's to a new slate next season!

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}AMBER!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, this better be the actual, for real cast, because this is a very good lineup. Some big names that you wouldn't think would go back for another season (unless it were a gigantic, high-stakes type of season, like, say, the all-winners season that it is. That's the only thing I would think would get Amber/Boston Rob/Sandra/Tony/Yul back again. Also Denise/Kim/Parvati/Jeremy were no slouches neither.)

LOVE seeing Yul back, and seeing Danni back is going to be pretty insane. Mainly right now I’m excited to see how Kim can play against actual competitors, and how Tony plays it on his third shot.
We really needed this season! I’m pumped.

I don’t know how true that is (I think it may have just been from a Survivor Sucks Post) but this is definitely an accurate list. Martin Holmes always nails Survivor spoilers.
Also totally agree about Hatch. Forgot to mention him in my other post, but that’s a real bummer. I started rewatching Borneo again the other night so I’m currently reliving his greatness.

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Hatch has that felony charge against him, so he wasn't going to make it. Bob and Tina are now up there in years, so they weren't going to be making it either. Denise is my dark horse pick to win. Also, look for personal connections to play here, like Jeremy and Tyson. They are poker buddies who play in Tyson's home games.
