Fair to say that was race of the season so far. Verstappen pulls off the win after a horrible start, getting Leclerc with only a couple of laps to go.

Great race, basically the opposite of what we've been seeing recently.
The stewards are looking at the contact that happened at the overtake, hope they decide nothing needs done with it.

They handed off the Coke Zero Sugar 400 race to Justin Haley, an Xfinity Series driver.
Granted, it's not like they'd get off any more time due to the weather, but people are likely gonna be pissed.

The whole weekend was a debacle for NASCAR. They could have run the race last night, though it would have been late. They likely could have completed the race tonight. But that's unpredictable Florida weather for you. Should be equally fun when the 400 moves to the heart of hurricane season next year.

And if you think attendance sucks this weekend in Daytona with the unpredictable weather, wait until they run the July 4th race this time next year in Indianapolis, where people just don't want to watch a NASCAR race.

What’s bad about an underdog win and it plays into anyone can win at Daytona. Could you imagine if somehow Kubica pulled off a win at Silverstone?

Not only does no one want to watch NASCAR at Indy, it's going to be unbearably hot. I have no qualms with an underdog win, as long as it's earned. Good on Haley, and it's a great financial boost for a new team, but to win because you didn't pit when it was thought the race was going to resume, only to be changed 30 seconds later, is cheap. Also, if it were a larger team in the lead, I don't think they would have tried as hard to restart the race. NASCAR didn't want a backmarker team to win like that.

So, for those out of the loop on F1 nonsense, Rich Energy is an energy drink company that were sponsoring Haas this year. They just pulled sponsorship on Thursday via Twitter announcement because they wanted the team to be beating Red Bull. Bear in mind, Red Bull are one of the 3 teams that usually stay in title contention and Haas are always middle of the field. Now people are looking into Rich Energy's finances because they don't seem to be on the up and up. youtu.be/00AmLdxGjJUOh and hilariously enough Grosjean managed to somehow spin in the pitlane entry during practice yesterday and smashed off the front wing with their stickers on it.

Slightly soggy final practice taking place right now which makes for a quiet session, but could be interesting for qualifying.

Man, Formula 1 has a deep history of shonky-ass rich guys like this. Yep. As an update, Haas hasn't removed the stickers yet, but Rich Energy are baiting them to on Twitter, which everyone theorises is to try and sue them for breach of contract if they do. Try and wrap your head around the legal grounds on that one.

I think Dunn is the guest director, they cut to a crowd shot in the middle of an overtake.
