It would be huge if AEW can get Batista.

The lame ass seats we managed to get are already going for like 5x the original price. Can only imagine the good seats.

Batista would be a major get. The guy is legit on the level of The Rock in terms of pulling power and stuff these days. The eyes that would be on AEW would be unlike anything they could get from anyone else not named Hogan or Rock.

I think they are going to sign Goldberg, given the subliminal bit on BTE this week with the Bucks standing in front of the Goldberg's restaurant at the airport. Or if they don't it could just be passed off as a coincidence. Goldberg vs. Batista at Double or Nothing?

I think it's safe to say AEW isn't just some pipe dream if they can consistently sell out venues like this. That's gonna turn some wrestlers heads too, they might actually be seen by more people than WWE eventually, or at least on par in seating and viewership at live events...

They've proved that All In wasn't a fluke.
I think interest in signing with them has increased tenfold.

People will still continue to doubt the appeal, and they would be stupid. I am not saying this is WCW all over again, different circumstances and the company has hardly been a company yet, but I don't see why people are dismissing this.
This is amazing for everyone and everything. More competition is exactly what the industry has been crying out for, and it's finally here. Yes, they are not there yet, and everyone makes fun of Jericho, but imagine the money they are throwing at him for him to go to Vince and tell him he's signing with AEW for a couple of years?
I just think people are being blind, stupid or both to not see that AEW is serious. The ticket sales for All In, for this show, the signings they have made, the money they have, the TV deal they have all but signed. I'm not The Elite's biggest fan and think this is very much a vanity project (until I am proven otherwise), but you can't doubt what they have and are continuing to do.

I think this sold out even faster than All In did, f***ing hell. That's incredible. Doesn't entirely surprise me besides the success of All In. You also get the people that didn't care about a one shot but do care about a new actual promotion.

THe Elite have already proven how good they are at promoting and building a brand, but I think people underrate Tony Khan in this as well. Tony is very good at promoting and branding. Plus, Cody and crew have not only shown to be ambitious with AEW but also patience.

I know some people have poopoo-ed AEW as a threat, and I know it's justified in response to a lot of the souped up hype and the fact they haven't really started yet. This upstart promotion just sold out their first show in a fully booked arena without even having the associations and possibilities that All In brought to the table of seeing New Japan guys and such. I think anyone in wrestling would be foolish to write these guys off as anything but a threat. If they have the commited money backing them to keep making plays, something very interesting is going to happen here.

Yeeeeah, I feel like this has cemented that AEW is the clear number two US promotion without having run a single show yet.
