Needed an updated version advising park employees not to be distracted by attractive mouse inventors.

Neat vid, but damn those suits would be miserable. You'd wanna play something like Gaston where you weren't trapped in a hot, fur coffin&could speak. At least I would.

Plus, I'm claustrophobic anyway, so it would just be a bad time all around for me. Aladdin, Gaston, really any of the human characters would be the only ones tolerable to me.

The Ducktales reboot is so good. I would love if they did this one too.

You put on the Chip or Dale outfit and then is starts to brainwash you making you think you really are Chip or Dale in the real world.

Well, it depends. Which is the bottom and which is the top?

Those fur coffins usually have some sort of air conditioning to them, but it isn't quite enough as I understand it. No. There isn’t. But it’s funny how so many people think there is. When I worked there, they tried a trial “Ice-Pack Vest” which is exactly what it sounds like: these bulletproof-looking vests carrying these Ice Packs which cool you just a smidge more. The trade off is they were heavy as f***. And that was on top of the suits which, depending which, are also heavy as f***. There’s a thing called “the Disney 15”. When you first get hired in the character department you tend to lose 15, 20 lbs right away because you do sweat a lot. And it can be quite the work out. Especially for certain suits like chip n dale and for my height range, Pluto for example. There’s some trade-offs to being a face character. Better pay. No suit. But ya gotta keep up with make up, have to react appropriately to people on the spot, and ya reach the point where if you start to age out of the character, are swiftly fired. Anyway. My favorite thing about the chipmunks were watching their tails twitch side to side as they walked.

I watched this whole series of YT vids on what it took to be a Disney Princess at the parks and it just made me feel bad for them. I understand why it's like that but damn.

Also, when did Disney stop the characters just walking around in the parks and reduced it to just meet-and-greets?

Like I said, pay is nice but it’s got its downsides. And there’s tons of horror stories involving face characters. I’ll put it like this, guests do a lot of wrong, inappropriate things to characters. Face characters (both male and female) have it ten times as bad.

Also, when did Disney stop the characters just walking around in the parks and reduced it to just meet-and-greets? It varies. There’s a few places, characters that are still allowed to do “Atmo” or “atmosphere” where you’re allowed to free-roam but apparently it was way more prevalent back in the day. They’ve reduced this allegedly for technical issues like keeping characters confined to their lands and as well as safety issues for the characters. People can be nuts. They also pulled back on the “characters on rides” thing. I worked with some who had been there awhile and had gotten to ride a few rides in costumes but for the most part it’s not allowed, again, due to safety issues.

I always thought the "characters on rides" thing was just for publicity pictures.

Most of what I've read about the lack of walk-around characters does seem to emphasize past horror stories of people being absolutely awful toward the characters; confining them allows for better security, as there are often plain-clothes folks keeping an eye out.
I do miss the whole atmo thing, though, back when it was more prevalent. My family is planning a trip there this year for my baby nephew's first trip, and I just dread the whole "waiting on line to meet a character" thing, those waits are interminable and it just sucks to remember a time when that wasn't really how it was done.

One of the last times I was at Chuck E. Cheese at about 13, there was one kid hanging off that poor bastard's tail while another punched him in the stomach. Betting that was a typical day too.
