Maybe not so much bothers, but annoys me...is basically everything on MTV. Teen Mom. I don't think it's about showing kids how hard it is to have a baby, but it seems like girls will think, "Hey, if I have a baby, I might get on tv!" Any "reality" show is saying, "If you're a drunk, slut, douchebag, idiot, and troublemaker...we want to pay you to start shit." If you have absolutely NO talent whatsoever, there will always be a home for you on MTV. Which is legit sad from what the channel used to be. Back in the day I thought some of those True Life episodes were surprisingly sensitive, thoughtful explorations of their topics. The one about people with Tourette’s still sticks with me.

It's not that extreme. It's more like "literally anything the cheated-on girl does in retaliation is ok or justified, because the guy cheated on her". Yeah that can be annoying, in Me Myself and Irene I don't recall Charlie's ex wife getting any kind of punishment for cheating on him at the start. That didn't really bother me, since Charlie really does like his kids and seems like he appreciates them more than his ex would, anyway.

Jonathan Kent's fate always bothered me in Man Of Steel, compared to some of the other adaptations Pa Kent's death has always been the major moment when it comes to humanising Superman. For all his powers, Clark cannot save everybody, and couldn't save his father, but it's important that he never stops trying Man of Steel's message was "it's okay to let people die without trying to save them."

Oceans Twelve Yeah, you know that whole meticulously planned heist from the excellent first film? Well, none of it matters because you now have to pay every dollar back plus interest. (And that’s before we even get to a guy breakdancing through laser beams or Julia Roberts pretending to be Julia Roberts).

Thirteen is actually pretty good, it’s not as good as the first but they kept it simple and stuck to a Vegas casino.

I hated the Julia Roberts bit, the fact she looked so much like Julia Roberts it even fooled Bruce Willis, though nobody said she looked like Julia Roberts through Ocean's 11 and most of 12

Me and the rest of the internet, i know, but I still can't over how Darwin was killed in whatever X-Men movie that was. It was just patently not something that'd have worked like that. It'd be like if they killed Superman in a superhero film to write around him by having Luthor throw a toaster in his bath tub. I've seen people argue "Oh he was so supercharged he didn't have time to adapt" the guy has literally become a death God to survive. It's not like there were 100s of other mutants they could use, if you want it to be impressive, find a guy made out of rock or something, literally anyone who's power is specifically "can't die".

Not according to Admiral Necheyev, who outright ordered him to wipe out the Borg if another opportunity presented itself.

I think if Picard had done this, it would have forever killed any moral authority the Federation or him enjoyed. By preventing every single subsequent assimilation or death by the Borg? Although you're also absolutely right, it's genocide of a sentient race of beings, malicious though they may be. I think the question of Picard's choice has always been an absolutely fascinating one, far eclipsing Sisko's choice from In The Pale Moonlight.

With Monica Gellar in friends, the character being changed to a likeable woman whose trying to find the one, to once she got with chandler changed to a shrill loud bully
Phoebe Buffet became a terrible character as the series progressed and by the ending, she was a nasty woman, with bizzare behaviour to chandler and ross
Joey, Chandler and Rachel were the only likeable characters/decent people in Friends imho

It was weird seeing these people evolve from quirky but nice people into cartoonish assholes over time.

The alternate ending isn't perfect, either, in part since the show just went on for too long, but I felt like it was a better conclusion. Is the alternate ending just him meeting the Mother and none of the things afterwards? Yeah that can be annoying, in Me Myself and Irene I don't recall Charlie's ex wife getting any kind of punishment for cheating on him at the start. I think that might be even worse. Producers winking at the audience a little bit like “haha, she ends up with a midget!” Well, she did eat blubber after he freed Willy. Back in the day I thought some of those True Life episodes were surprisingly sensitive, thoughtful explorations of their topics. The one about people with Tourette’s still sticks with me. Oh, me too. I liked True Life, Diary, FANatic, Making the Video, etc. I mean in recent years, it has been straight hot garbage. True that. I loved those shows.
