I thought he'd do it next year in time for the 10th anniversary of the film. Then again he said it was a coincidence when he reviewed Part 5.

Don't make me feel that old, please. Whoops my mistake. It was made in 2010 not 2000. Thanks for the correcting! In my opinion, the movie's problem was the script. It had some interesting concepts but were executed poorly. Jackie Haley did the best as he could but with the writing so weak, you could only go so far. I think the micro lapsing was interesting concept to introduce into the series, I just wish they could have expanded on it more, it would be interesting if they incorporated sleep paralysis into the franchise, that would make it terrifying.

Some people said it was lazy writing to include the micronaps, but it's a physiological fact and happens all the time to severely sleep deprived people, so I didn't mind it. It also boggled my mind that they had all this fancy new CGI at their disposal, where you could literally do anything with a nightmare scene, but they kept the kills as rudimentary and run-of-the-mill as possible. What a wasted opportunity.

No problem! When you wrote that it was the 20th Anniversary I had to actually go look up the release date because I thought "Wait, it couldn't have been that long ago, could it?".

it just wasn't a very memorable film, like I remember Beaver from Veronica Mars was in it (I know his name his Kyle Gallner but he'll always be Beaver to me), as well as Rooney Mara and Katie Cassidy, and I think I remember some of the other actors but I remember next to nothing about the kills, which even in a bad 80's/90's Freddy movie you remembered the kills (as corny as some where).

He seemed to be more defending this movie by making his Snob character be bad at saying why this movie is bad.

Oh, I was saying that as I disagree with his assertion that his explanations were why people hate the film. I absolutely despise it and I have real reasons to hate it.

Jackie Haley was fantastic, but the movie was so boring. A big reason is that they put Freddy up against lifeless characters. They took the best Final Girl, and in the remake turned her into a character was boring, nowhere near as smart, not as likeable, and Rooney Mara seemed to want to be anywhere but in that movie. Langenkamp's Nancy was awesome, she was smart, she was likeable, and she was badass. Is it any wonder why the 3 Nightmare movies that are considered the best are the ones that Wes worked on, and had Langenkamp. You gotta put Freddy against somebody that people can get behind.
