So Vic’s stupidity might have just completely screwed himself to where he might very well actually face jail time, just not for his sex pest stuff. In court yesterday two things happened: 1) For the first time since it became public knowledge, Judge Chupp learned that Vic signed his house over to his mom after Chupp’s ruling, in a very clear attempt to avoid having it be part of his assets when it comes time to pay up, which, um...is fraud. It’s just straight fraud. According to those who were in the courtroom at the time, Chupp visibly “perked up” when he heard about this. 2) Vic’s stupid ass straight up lied in the courtroom, multiple times actually. He stated he never physically saw the affidavit he supposedly signed. And also said he didn’t know what he was getting into because he never went through litigation before. Which is a boldface lie because it is right there in records to be found that he sued someone in the 90’s, a lawsuit that was also dismissed with prejudice because, and here is the kicker, Vic couldn’t prove his case! Needless to say, that’s...um...that’s perjury. Forget his hopes at an appeal, in one courtroom session he committed perjury and was found to have committed fraud following a court ruling. His ass is toast. Okay, so I know this all sounds incredibly damning, but I think we should all keep in mind the fact that Vic was the voice of Broly and is therefore incapable of ever being wrong about anything. S***, you’re right! The man is innocent!

Death Note is the only anime I’ve watched in 10 years and this is my favorite thread.

Of course they did this. But remember, Nick has nothing to do with this.

Vic's been ordered to pay $223,000, which will go up to $525,000 if he pursues the appeal further.
Naturally because they were asking for $800,000 (since you always overshoot these things), his cultists are declaring this a victory for Vic.

The current attempt to divert from this is pointing at someone (who they misleadingly keep calling the vice president) with Rooster Teeth who was charged with assault and whining about how that isn't being widely reported, even though, 1), they were also fired, and 2), it was just the vice president of product and engineering, so basically some mid-level behind the scenes production job that won't really make any difference.
Really is insane just how much they've been desperately trying to find someone else to blame for shit, as if somehow someone else doing something validates what Vic did.

What’s the old saying about a lawyer so bad they could talk a speeding ticket down to first degree murder?
That’s Vic and his lawyer.

I approve of this. Met Johnny B earlier this year at our local con, he's a cool guy.

JYB is a cool dude and a much better VA and person than Vic. It's a big upgrade.

My personal pick for, "Basically Vic but better," is Michael Sinterniklaas, but JYB is a fine choice.

I remember much crowing from Vic stans that surely Japanese fans would demand Vic's return, for... some reason or other.
If there was any truth to that, it never materialized to my knowledge, but beyond that, it's my understanding that JYB is much more popular with Japanese fans, anyway, so uhh, whoops.
