We reach the end of the 60's with 1969, the year of the Manson murders and Woodstock. Vote for your favorite movie from this year, and, as always, explain your choice (if you like), as well as mention any other movies you might have seen on this list, below.
We will also accept Write in Votes (although, please mention it as such) for movies not included on the list I'm getting the choices off of. However, I will not remove any from the list (I can't by that point), so, if you want to make your case why a certain movie isn't a horror film, make it. Hell, you might end up swaying a few voters from going in that direction, but I can't/won't remove it from the list or DQ it.

So, I've got a film. It was made in 1969, released in early 1970, and doesn't show up on Wikipedia's listing for either year.
Do I throw it a write-in now or wait 'til tomorrow's poll?

I'm voting other and nominating The Valley of Gwangi. It has a giant Allosaurus eating people and harryhausen effects. More adventure than Horror but frankly it's better than the rest of the choices here.

What movie is it? THE HOUSE THAT SCREAMED, a Spanish proto-slasher that borrows from PSYCHO but also feels a bit like a demo for SUSPIRIA.

Well, I think it's fair to say Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed (the one I voted for) has this, as 1969 was not a good year for horror. There was some decent cheese, but few other worthwhile movies. That'll change as we enter the two greatest decades for horror in the modern era, the 1970's/80's. In fact, starting with this next year, I'm probably going to start doing each year in two parts, as the amount of horror movies produced increases rapidly. So, the next poll will be the first half (for the most part alphabetically) of 1970.
