So heavily featured who has so little purpose?
In less than two months Elias will have been on the Raw roster for two years. And he has accomplished squat. Not just in kayfabe wins and losses, but he’s still never been near a title, even though he is featured heavily every week.
The company clearly think highly of him, but all he’s given every week is the same shtick; sing, insult the crowd, get interrupted, have a feud that last two weeks, rinse and repeat.
So I ask you, has there ever been anyone so heavily featured that has done less than Elias has?

I mean they did do that thing where he challenged Seth for the Intercontinental title, dominated, and Seth ultimately had to cheat to beat him...
... only to do absolutely jack shit with it and have Seth lose the belt the next night to Dolph.

He's a boring worker but a decent promo.
Eventually Vince will get bored and move on.

Thank you.
Been saying that for a while because yeah, I like his character and he can cut a promo but he's like a midcard Samoa Joe. He's great on the mic but he doesn't really do shit, doesn't win anything, he's just "there doing stuff." He's been on the main roster for 2 years and he hasn't accomplished a thing. That's cool and all but we need more. Granted, I'll give him his props for being on a higher tier than the Adam Roses of the world but when that tier's just stopped it doesn't mean anything. You know, apparently Elias was scheduled to win the IC Title from Rollins mid last year due to Ambrose turning heel and interfering in the match but they held off on that and THEN had Ambrose do the heel turn on the night of Roman's leukemia announcement. Man, it's crazy how one potential heel turn can change so many storylines. Through these past 5 years that "Ambrose might turn heel" thing has impacted more things than I can count whether it's Elias winning a title, Ambrose main eventing multiple WMs against Reigns, Ambrose causing issues in that Wyatt feud, just so many things. I might make a thread on it but I digress.
Either way nah, Elias ain't shit. He's a broken record and I mean that as a pun.

Man, I never even thought about how little he actually does until this thread.

I don't think I have ever seen Elias do a single wrestling move.

Elias is great at what he does as far as sitting in the ring and being entertaining as f***.
Once Vince or the crowd gets bored of that though, his floor is gonna bottom out lightning fast.
I hope he finds another avenue soon. He's gotta get ahead of Vince wanting to switch toys.

In a roster full of people whose characters I don't get, I get Elias the least. What does he WANT? Does he just want to play his music, and he'll take the run-ins and attacks because it means he gets to play in front of a large crowd?
Does he just want to annoy people, and he uses his music to do it?
Does he want to wrestle, and the music is somehow a means towards winning matches?
It's just, I don't think they thought this through all the way.

He's a textbook example of house show booking becoming the same as TV booking.

I don't get why people still think he's entertaining. He does the same thing every time. Do people just like screaming "Who wants to walk with Elias?" or what?
I liked him at first but now when he comes out, it feels like time slows down.

So little purpose? He’s the only entertaining part of the show!

I admit i'm so used to him not wrestling or coming out to the ring, that when they played his theme music for that RAW gauntlet match last year I had absolutely no idea who was coming out, even though I knew he was in the match...

Low card comedy gimmicks who get on tv a lot go back to the 80s in WWF/E.

I still thoroughly enjoy him even though he doesn’t do jack shit as far as wrestling goes

Low card comedy gimmicks who get on tv a lot go back to the 80s in WWF/E. He... really isn't low card though? That's a confusing aspect of it, he's routinely portrayed as a serious threat, hangs with the main-eventers on the regular, he just... doesn't actually do anything.

Got the biggest crowd heat a WWE worker has managed to get in years. That segment is still amazing and frustrating at the same time.

The stop and start booking with him is just another long line of infuriating things with WWE Booking. Turning him Face just to turn him back Heel again, having him get punked by Jeff Jarrett and Road Dogg, and now he's feuding with LUCHA HOUSE PARTY?
His needle is starting to point down, I love the dude but the fact he has accomplished nothing for being as over as he is says a lot about WWE's imaginary brass rings.
