There are actually missing episodes. The November 2nd, 2002 episode, which featured "Before They Were Superstars" segments on Stacy Kiebler and DDP, as well as William Regal's reptiles, is not part of this collection. November 2 was the date that episode re-aired. It's episode 5 from June 22.

Confidential was unique for a wrestling program in that it had re-runs some weeks instead of a new episode just like a normal TV show. That led to a pretty funny moment when Sean Morley, soon after becoming Eric Bischoff's right-hand man on Raw, had a segment talking about himself where he basically said the Val Venis character was limiting, so he was glad to be doing something different. Several months later, when he was doing the Venis gimmick again, the episode re-aired with that part of the segment removed. Good he has a less limiting gimmick of a pothead with seemingly multiple personalities.

Surprised they're showing the ep talking about Torrie's playboy shoot (Wonder if that one will get the TVMA stern warning treatment).

I'd imagine some of the 29 minute/30 minute episodes probably had matches featured that were cut. I remember some nights they'd show a match "From The Vault", which would be kinda pointless since the "vault" is at our fingertips if we're already watching Confidential.

So it’s the 18th! They’re not on there yet. Bloody liars.

I doubt it since they probably don't care about redundancy that much. It's more likely footage they can't use, either because it's about music they can't play on the Network or something from a non-wrestling program that's owned by another company. If there was a segment about, say, The Rock on the set of a movie, they could show what a WWE crew taped on set, but if they aired actual footage from the movie, they'd have to cut it.

I never really got into Confidential. I'd watch Velocity a lot of the time but I usually just turned it off when Confidential came on.

Poor Matt Hardy hoping in 20 years time he gets to be walking around the zoo with Lita eating ice cream.
Mean Gene is a fan of nude paintings as Ivory explains breasts implants for the audience at home, to round out episode 1

It still amuses me to see interviews with Jerry Brisco back in those days, when his tongue was permanently inserted into Vince’s rectum.

Episode 3 starts out chronicling Tough Enough II.
Boy, did they whiff on the winners. All we got out of them was "That Jackie Gayda Match" and a dominatrix manager.

It's also ironic that Episode 3 features a segment talking about how funny Stone Cold Steve Austin is and all the antics he does when the show goes off the air, and then Episode 4 does a 180 and it's now "Austin is the most selfish, pathetic cretin that ever lived" because Austin left the company.

Did they air from the vault matches on confidental I only remember them doing that on Excess which was the show that confidental & velocity replaced in that 10pm to midnight saturday timeslot?

Episode 3 starts out chronicling Tough Enough II. Boy, did they whiff on the winners. All we got out of them was "That Jackie Gayda Match" and a dominatrix manager. That was just a terrible season. Kenny King and Matt Morgan were the biggest successes out of it. And looking it up, Ciampa's wife was in that season. Not their strongest season. They passed on John Morrison, Shad, and Awesome Kong.

"The door's not open for him to return..."
Words you should never say in wrestling.
