The discussion of condiments reminds me of something not quite related: cheese ice cream is relatively popular where I am. Like, not cheese on ice cream, as that would be silly, but cheese flavored ice cream. I would love to try this. Does it come in different cheeses like Cheddar, or Blue Cheese?

It's basically just cheddar. Apparently, never tried this myself, but sometimes it's eaten with a type of bread that's common here.

I mean, Russian dressing is mostly ketchup and mayonnaise.

I like ketchup, and only ketchup on hotdogs.
I was at a bbq years ago, and some girl saw me only put ketchup on my hotdog. She goes, "You know, they say only psychopaths put ketchup on hotdogs."
I deadpanned, "They're right." and walked away.

Some people’s tastes don’t develop completely outside of their childhoods. Ketchup is such an appealing product to young children because it’s sweet, salty and umami and adds those flavors to anything you put it on. Salads, generally anything with darker greens are bitter so he’s satisfying 4/5 types of tastes that are identifiable.
Also he sounds like a monster and you should break up

Go to any Asian/Filipino grocery store and you'll see a wide range of unconventional flavors of ice cream, including Avocado, Ube, Corn, etc. Basically anything they can grow, they can freeze with dairy and make it ice cream. Hell, one of my best date night dinners included a course that had horseradish ice cream...it wasn't half bad!

Like cheese, it took me a long while to realize that those were uncommon ice cream flavors.

No ketchup in salad here, but sliced turkey, shredded mozzarella, and a generous amount of cottage cheese is yum. And I put ketchup on my hot dogs.

Hotdogs and ketchup? I don't see anything wrong with that. Also, I eat hotdogs with rice, muhahahahahaha!
That said, I don't like it that much. Hotdogs are too soft already, doesn't pair well with rice. Hot dogs, garlic rice, and a sunny side up is a common breakfast item here - in general garlic rice and egg plus some sort of meat is a breakfast combination here.
Also, hotdogs on rice for me is a lot better if I chop the hot dogs and use it as an ingredient for fried rice. And hot dogs are a very common ingredient here for Filipino spaghetti, as is banana ketchup.
