All right, time to enter the first year of one of the decades considered the greatest for horror, the 1970's. This poll will be covering the first half of horror/related movies from 1970. Vote for your favorite movie from this year, and, as always, explain your choice (if you like), as well as mention any other movies you might have seen on this list, below.
We will also accept Write in Votes (although, please mention it as such) for movies not included on the list I'm getting the choices off of. However, I will not remove any from the list (I can't by that point), so, if you want to make your case why a certain movie isn't a horror film, make it. Hell, you might end up swaying a few voters from going in that direction, but I can't/won't remove it from the list or DQ it.

I was thrilled to learn 1970 was being broken into two polls, because there's two movies I was having difficulty choosing from.
Then I learned the division was alphabetical and got bummed out. Both of my movies are from the back half of the alphabet.
COUNT YORGA gets my vote out of this section, but it's the best of a bunch I either don't like or haven't seen.
EDIT: Changed my mind, I'm writing in THE DUNWICH HORROR, in which Dean Stockwell (Al from Quantum Leap) uses the Necronomicon and an attractive woman in a ritual to bring back The Old Ones!

And that was on the list. Sorry, that was on me. Write in Accepted.

I am also going to vote for THE DUNWICH HORROR it's very good.
Blood on Satan's Claw is the only other film from this list I have seen and although it is alright it isn't as good as Dunwich.

About an hour and some change left. We have a tie currently; The Horror of Frankenstein and the write in vote, The Dunwich Horror. Will one of these movies creep ahead, or will we start the 1970's with a tie?

All right, it looks like The Horror of Frankenstein wound up creeping ahead of The Dunwich Horror (once again, sorry for accidentally skipping that one when I was making the list....I guess doing this late at night isn't always such a great thing) to head on to the next round. I wound up voting for Count Yorga, as, there really wasn't that much else on this list worth voting for. Dunwich and Equinox are probably the only two on this list (that I've seen) that I would have even considered voting for. This wasn't such a great list, however, the next one will be better. Get ready for the second part of 1970.
