I.....I was coming here to post this thread and that very video..... A great actor. Of course he'll end up being film's definitive Hitler, but Wings of Desire is absolutely a must see. He had a great part in a Liam Neeson movie called Unknown (incl. a grand scene with Frank Langella) and a big role in Werner Herzog's Nosferatu. He plays the professor in Boys From Brazil who (without knowing it) confirms to Olivier that Mengele is cloning Hitler (after Downfall, this scene is basically watching Hitler marvel at his own cloning). And of course he was part of what (IMO) is the internet's greatest and funniest meme. When people get the Hitler Reacts videos right, they really get it right. RIP sir.

This sucks.
As for the Hitler stuff, few things have made me laugh harder than the one where Hitler finds out that Hulk Hogan won't give HBK a rematch from SummerSlam.

Never saw “Wings of Desire”.. would like too.
If you didn’t know, it was remade in Hollywood as “City of Angels” .. Nic Cage played Ganz’s role.

He was the best Hitler. That first guy was an asshole. Robert Carlyle? Ian McKellen? Anthony Hopkins? Alec Guinness? 😁 Never saw Carlyle or McKellen as Hitler, apparently, but Hopkins in The Bunker was decent (REALLY got into those yelling scenes, almost too much?) and Alec Guinness was just being Alec Guinness (he does the same exact bunker meeting room scene that Ganz will forever be known for, but as unenthusiastically as humanly possible - kinda bewildering to see after you've watched Downfall)
