He's right but it's probably not a good idea to voice it at this stage of his career.

The main roster isn’t boring because it’s a child’s product.
The main roster’s boring because it’s f***ing boring for the most part.

I don't see an issue with it being a child's product. I see an issue with it being watered down.
There are a lot of good shows out there for kids these days, ones a lot better than WWE is.

Let me guess, they just told Riddle he needs to cut back on the weed if he wants to make it on the main roster, didn't they?
Mind you, we're at a point where WWE will pay guys just to keep them for working elsewhere, so yeah, now's probably the ideal time to say whatever the hell you feel like without any repercussions.

I think this is downplaying children. Its a watered down senile old man product. yeah kids at least have good imaginations. I don’t think the current product is even appealing to kids nowadays.

Matt Riddle might end up being the first person to actually turn down getting called up, and it's going to be really interesting to see how management and everyone else in the company is going to handle that.

My edgy teenage self would hate current day me for saying this, but I think WWE absolutely should be family friendly.
Also, isn't this the guy whose character is basically "dude weed lmao" and wrestles without shoes? Pass lol.

They had Jake Roberts be scummy as f***. Look at Early 90s WCW. Sting was a superhero and he still got dirty against the heels.

Some of the best entertainment out there is made "for kids". Many comic books managed to tell incredible stories even back when companies were suffering under the Comics Code. Avatar the Last Airbender has some of the greatest character development of any show I've ever watched no matter the genre or age designation. Admittedly my knee jerk reaction was to say 'f*** this guy' but reading the quote in context, I'll give him some credit. It is watered down and aimed at kids. The prior is an issue, the latter not so much.

Exactly, I think since about 2011 WWE has found its groove again at being family friendly while still entertaining for the adult audience. As for Matt Riddle, I think speaking his mind is fine but he might want to be careful because I'm sure the McMahon's pay attention to that kind of thing. Regardless of if he is right or wrong, I wouldn't push a guy openly calling my product "watered down."
