I don't think he will win it at Mania. I think he may do sometime this year but it won't be at Mania.
I am a pessimist, so I either get to be correct and so less disappointed, or I get to be wrong and mark out.

Kofi ain't winning and it breaks my freakin' heart to say it.
WWE is exactly the sort of place that would advertise change and listening to the fans then laughing at the idea of putting a title on Kofi. WWE treats it like somebody wrote "Kofi is midcard 4 Life" in the wrestling bible and nobody has the authority to change it.

Like usual WWE will screw this up & have Bryan vs Kofi in a throwaway title match at Fast Lane than they’ll pretend these last few weeks never happened with Kofi. I’m assuming his Mania opponent will be either Cena, Owens or Mysterio since it looks like Styles vs. Orton at Mania. I can’t think of any other opponent for him unless they have him face someone from Raw instead.

I guess we know the answer to this now. Yeh,he is losing at fastlane and at WM getting some sort of minor win to "make up" for it and pretend they care

After tonight I don’t actually think he’s going to win, but I don’t want to be rooting for that. I want to believe Kofi Kingston is going to be the WWE Champion at WrestleMania.
So put me down as a “yes”. I want to be a believer.

Up to last night I was certain Kofi was going to win. But with a Kofi/Bryan match happening at Fastlane and reading certain reports now I'm not so sure. We all know how stubborn Vince can be. But we've seen how fan support can force the WWE to change plans (see Becky Lynch).
And I can't ingore how much of the focus has gone on Kofi these past days. The storyline with Kofi is right tohere and it would be hard to set up a completely new storyline with someone else this close to WrestleMania. And if they did that poor bastard would probably get booed out of every arena in the country (except Lafayette where they'll just sleep through the whole show). And with recent ratings problems and potential competition with AEW on the horizon the WWE doesn't want another embarrassing episode like the one with Batista in 2014.
So while I'm no longer 100% sure I'm still somewhere in the 65% range. Put me down for Kofi winning.

It’s a bit weird thinking about it how it seems the guy most fans were pushing for to win the title back in 2014, they want to see him lose the title now. I guess the only difference is that fans still like Bryan though & didn’t care about Orton or Batista at all at that time.
