You hit the nail on the head. The main event was decent, but other than that, it felt like just another Raw with some new faces from NXT. Which, to me, isn’t really a bad case because aside from the heavy machinery bit and maybe the Boss/Hug promo, the show really wasn’t bad. The crowd though, my god did it suck the life out of me lmao It just goes to show how important having a hot crowd is. The Ziggler vs. Ambrose match at SummerSlam actually wasn't a bad match, but because the crowd was so f***ing dead it's remembered as one.

I can’t believe Black got like no response. As soon as Cole called him “moody” I knew he was f***ed. The whole tirade my the commentary team made him lose all his cool. Especially since, like... Moody is pretty much the exact wrong word for how Aleister is generally portrayed. Typically he's reserved and stoic, keeps his cool. The whole point is how he's cold and measured right up until he kicks your head off.

Also, should have called Black "Kicky McDarkSoul", tbh. Crowds would react to that.

No need to keep hammering home how DARK AND SPOOKY he is.

They do the "ok NXT babyface has to get beaten down by main roster midcard heel and be dominated most of the match and then win" bullshit too much. That's like, I'm 99.9% positive that Ziggler would have been in Elias's spot had that been him there lol.

Maybe he meant brooding and f***ed up?
Or, more likely, maybe he's been checked out for 10 years.

As I said on the Raw thread, Black really needs to be on Smackdown Live and not Raw.

As I said on the Raw thread, Black really needs to be on Smackdown Live and not Raw. Nakamura would've been the perfect starter feud for him.

The timing on this just seems super weird. Out of the last crop of NXT callups, half of them are MIA and the others are either jobbing or barely getting screen time. I don't get to watch NXT but being in here I know these four guys likely have a bright future or should at least. With that in mind, why introduce them when we're less than two months out from Wrestlemania and they'll just end up lost in the shuffle? Even if this wasn't actually their callup it just seems odd. Still, I guess technically it did give some matchups not previously seen on Raw so that's something right?

Could be one of those things to get people familiar with them before likely debuting some on the Raw after Mania or the shakeup. Same thing with Zayn/Neville. I doubt they’d call up NXTs top champions who are in the middle of a story arch so soon.

Like they're reminding the AEW-bound crowd that they have their own alternative "indy" type option that's pretty highly regarded. Apparently this is the second time I've said that in this thread.

Idk about all that lol it was probably just to get eyeballs on NXT and to showcase the talent before getting actually called up down the road. AEW ain’t that spooky. Not yet.

I could be way off about the AEW thing; it's just a hunch really. The legend has grown mighty quickly.

We really needed three pictures of HHH from different angles to put this tweet over apparently. Not the guys debuting, of course not
