Whichever one doesn't win the title at Dominion.

Whichever one doesn't win the title at Dominion. Exactly. Still think Okada gets retribution at Dominion, meaning Naito takes the g1. That or they finally deliver on someone losing the g1 briefcase....

Leaning Okada for the G1
They been deliberate not having Naito and White fight against each other so I would assume White drops the belt to Naito at Dominion or KOPW after the G1
I personally think it would be better to have Naito walk into WK and defend the title and defeat Okada

Just, for the love of god, not Tanahashi or Okada. Let's start moving forward, please.

Tana got his last run so that's done

Whichever one doesn't win the title at Dominion. Yea, that's pretty much the thinking
Just like 2 years ago, the writing seems to be on the wall for Naito/Okada but it's a matter of how they get there
Naito has to drop the IC title someone (probably Ibushi) meanwhile you still have to write out how you continue to move with Okada and his frustrations of losing big matches

Nah, give it to a dark horse, not a guy in a "slump" who still wins 85% of his matches.

Nah, give it to a dark horse, not a guy in a "slump" who still wins 85% of his matches. It is a slump when he keeps losing big matches
Being in a slump does not negate his skill, only his confidence
But nah, it's Okada or Naito. Let's not complicate something that is easy with Naito finally overcoming his last hurdle in beating Okada and Okada still having to find that killer instinct losing WK 2 times in a row

The dude hasn't lost a singles match since September, dude's fine. But nah, let's get some new blood in the main event, instead of the same four guys.

Also new blood is coming
Ibushi is about to becoming a fixture in the main event while winning the IC title
Tana is going to return to his fringe main event level with IC title wins Jay White is now a main eventer and he's getting a decent run now but he's not ready for a main event at the dome
You feature your two biggest stars at the dome while continuing to see who can step up

For me there’s still tonnes of mileage in Okada and Naito. Whites already taken Omegas spot. And I think Ibushi now can finally take Tanahashi’s spot.

That's how you wind up with guys like "Choke Artist" Naito, who fans keep drooling and drooling for them to pull the trigger, but when you never do, fans learn to expect that they're second rate, so you have to keep going back to "Okada vs. Tanahashi part 8 million". Right now, Ibushi is white hot, and he's committed to the company. Strike, make a star.

And you have to give Ibushi and White time to adjust in their roles
Right now unless they plan to have White fight Okada for the title at WK, he's getting his feet wet with the title the same way Okada did when he first won
Ibushi with this new contract is going to be a big time fixture moving forward
Tana can still fight with the main event talent but I do not expect him to win the IWGP again as he put over Jay White for a transition reign like many expected
Guys like Goto, Ishii, Suzuki fill a role and will get the occasional IWGP title shot but they aren't the mainstays.
They have gotten nowhere near the mileage out of Okada/Naito they could have. This is their two biggest stars who hardly interact

He's won it once already but he's looking for the validation and cementing his legacy by beating Okada on his stage. Same way Okada beat Tana on the biggest stage
To call Naito second rate is laughable when they haven't even run this feud into the ground
Ibushi will be fine, this is Jay White time he got the rocket to his back, Ibushi will beat Naito for the IC title and get a good reign that propels him to the IWGP title next year

Second rate may be overstating, but he IS a choke artist. When it's all on the line, he loses, every time. Putting him up against Okada, who even in a "slump" is still rolling up the map on the company, yeah, I have no reason to believe this is "Naito's time". As for Jay White's rocket, I can't wait for the time we look back and say "Remember when New Japan made a Hot Topic cashier their champion?". It can't end quickly enough for me.

So they made a new star, but doesn’t count because you don’t like that new star? I mean that’s fine to not be feeling it, but you can’t criticise them for not making new stars because they’re not making the stars you want.
