The trailer and release date for Cobra Kai season 2 dropped a couple of days ago.
Using that song in the trailer, talking about her in season 1, and the cast being very mum about her, calling it now, Ali is going to be a big surprise in season 2.

So glad there's a second season. The first one was brilliant.
The gold standard of how to do a reboot.

Feels like I've been waiting for ages for season 2 of this! Absolutely loved the first season, so I'm hyped.

I was going to make this thread, but wanted to wait until closer to the release of the season. I cannot wait until this is out. I’ve been stoked for it for nearly a year now.
I’ve heard that Tori (Peyton List’s character) may end up being Ali’s daughter, it’s a theory going around.

loved the first season, but I hope they don't make Cobra Kai full heels and keep the narrative blurred.

loved the first season, but I hope they don't make Cobra Kai full heels and keep the narrative blurred. Maybe a conflict between Johnny (who wants to keep CK competitive but not overly evil) and Kreese (who wants the dojo to return to being full assholes).

I'm absolutely giddy for Cobra Kai Season 2!! I feel like the writers, producers, and directors really knew the original material and had a deep understanding and love for it! So often, I think reboots or late sequels are just money grubbing attempts to cash in on nostalgia. I think with Cobra Kai, the creators honestly had a new and fun story to tell and pulled it off beautifully. Can't wait!!

Martin Kove was interviewed and he hinted that whole Kreese may not be a good guy, we’ll see a different, more human side of him. The series is really about Johnny and rehabilitating him from the movie, so they probably won’t be full heels, though both he and Daniel were shown to have their good and their bad traits, so they will probably keep on the blurred lines. Another theory I heard about Kreese is that he’s actually dead like Johnny said, and his appearance is a manifestation in Johnny’s mind about the bad parts of Cobra Kai, to where Kreese’s role is similar to Harry’s in Dexter.

So excited! Thanks to Jedi-El for the heads up, I didn't know this was coming. Starting like April 20th, I'm totally gonna rewatch the Karate Kid movies and season one so I can go straight into the new ones. This is the best sequel/reboot since Force Awakens.

loved the first season, but I hope they don't make Cobra Kai full heels and keep the narrative blurred. That was my favorite thing about the series. Both Johnny and Daniel acted like dicks at times, Danny more so with his douche move to block Cobra Kai, but both also did a lot of cool, likeable things too, and when they did act dickish there was usually an actual reason for them doing so. Really well done show with a different dynamic than we usually get.

When you think back to the original movies, ESPECIALLY part three, and see all the shit Daniel has been through because of "Cobra Kai" (even though not all of it was Johnny's doing), you surely can understand why he might not be thrilled with the school coming back, especially if it's lead by his former arch rival. He went way overboard, that's true, but then again, Kreese and Silver went way overboard with him too, so IMO, I understand exactly where he's coming from. If he'd left well enough alone, there'd probably be no problem at all, but then, there'd be no show either, LOL!

Going back to the movies, Daniel’s biggest flaw has always been his temper, and his unwillingness to see another side. Johnny tried to tell him that he’s not Kreese, and that his Cobra Kai will be different, but Daniel didn’t want to hear it because of his own bad experiences, and had his mind made up. But by the end of the season, Daniel was shown to be right in some ways, when Miguel started down the path that Johnny was on in the first movie. Even if Johnny was different, there might be something about the Cobra Kauai philosophy at the core that changes people.

I kinda imagine one of the early episodes ending with a cliffhanger of Kreese being imaginary, maybe after Johnny does something that goes against the “bad” Cobra Kai philosophy.
