I really really hope this is misdirection and Cobra Kai isn’t going full heel. I see it, like others, more like Kreese will be getting in the heads of the CK members while Johnny remains more shades of grey.

"Tory, with a Y." Yeah, we're getting Ali in season 2. Speaking of Tory, man, looks like she f***s Sam up. We're going to get Tory and Hawk as Kreese's prize pupils, Miguel and Aisha as Johnny's top students, and Robby and Sam as Daniel's top students. It won't culminate this season, it will culminate in season 3. For this season, you gotta end with Johnny breaking off from Kreese, and forming a truce with Daniel. Season 4 could be all of the above having to form an Infinity War-like alliance to stop the ultimate evil..... {Spoiler}JADEN SMITH.

Damn, they’re really giving us so many teasers with the characters.
Martin Kove has been on the interview circuit lately, and has been giving some great insight into his character and the show. Unfortunately he did recently burst the bubble of anyone who wanted to see Dutch come back, though he does reveal his fate (slight spoiler warning):
Safe to say, pretty much every Karate Kid/Cobra Kai fan seems to have independently arrived at the same conclusion.

Finally gettin around to this. Good stuff. Zabka is great bringing nuance to Johnny. The kids are great. And making Daniel a complete dick was an interesting choice.

Not sure what exactly they have planned, but per the show's Twitter, there will be a WWE crossover tomorrow: And the synopsis:

Through 7 episodes, and I'm liking it more than season 1. Some thoughts {Spoiler}{Spoiler}- They've made it clear that Miguel is the best fighter of the teens.
- Yep, a Cobra Kai Civil War is brewing. Guessing next season, because this season would be too soon, we'll see Johnny's Cobra Kai which will include Miguel, Aisha, and Bert, go against Kreese's Cobra Kai. And, Johnny's Cobra Kai will join with Miyagi-Do, so they can take down Kreese.
- Daniel's f***ing lost it. He's got no balance, and is obsessed with destroying Cobra Kai. I understand it, with him seeing Kreese back, and after what Hawk and his goons did to Miyagi-Do. But his obsession is going to cost him a lot, possibly even his marriage.
- Speaking of Hawk, f*** him, f*** Hawk for stealing Miyagi's Medal of Honor.
- Knew Demitri would be the catalyst for Miguel starting to question things, and Hawk going full asshole. I liked the glimpses of his friendship with Moon, that also shows how far gone Hawk is. He hated what Demitri was doing, while his girlfriend liked hearing the "nerd" stories, and encouraged him to talk to girls. And she left him after he attacked Demitri.
- The mall fight was freaking incredible.

And done with the season. Better than season 1, and Amanda is this show's Miyagi. But that finale, holy f***ing shit. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}- Miguel might be paralyzed, Robby should be facing some serious jail time, Kreese has completely taken over, and Daniel and Johnny's lives are falling apart. Damn, the only thing I was expecting was Kreese taking over.
- Interesting that Aisha, Stingray, and Bert weren't one of the students with Kreese at the end. They're going to be loyal to Johnny, and join with him.
- They're not dropping the Ali friend request as the final scene, if they haven't reached a deal with Elizabeth Shue to appear in season 3. She's going to be the one to knock sense into Johnny and Daniel, and get them to work together.
- Season 3 looks to be all heading to the All Valley Tournament, where Daniel's students and students loyal to Johnny (except for Stingray), go against Kreese's Cobra Kai. Bring it the f*** on.

Damn that last episode was really good! My sister in law who watches Disney Shows was surprised that Peyton List went against the grain and played a character unlike what she usually plays. If I was Miguel, I'd definitely pick her over Sam. But with that ending, and that cover version of Cruel Summer, man theres gotta be a Season 3

Binged it last night, and while the first few episodes seemed a letdown compared to Season 1, it picked up from Episode 5 onwards. While it still had its funny moments, I believe it’s crossed over from comedy to drama. Biggest highlights and takeaways from this season: {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}-I thought Miguel was going to become even darker and more violent thanks to Kreese. But unlike Hawk, he stayed a basically good person, was one of the few who didn’t buy in to Kreese’s lies, and that made his injury all the more tragic.
-Robby got probably the most character development this season, though his injuring Miguel has put him back almost to square one: a strained relationship with Johnny and losing the trust of Daniel (and presumably Sam).
-You think for just a minute you could feel sorry for John Kreese. But you felt that way in the opening minutes of the third movie. But just like back then, you see what his real intentions are.
-RIP Tommy. Wow, did not see that as the way the original Cobras would be reunited. And yes, they got him a body bag. But it’s spooky: I predicted that one of them would become a preacher last season. As well as Dutch being in prison.
-Hawk is turning into the new Dutch, even calling Demitri dead meat. And I love that the scene of him being chased through the mall was the song from the Halloween fight in the first movie. But they are treading dangerously close to making Demitri the Jar Jar Binks of the series.
-No sign of Terry Silver or Mike Barnes yet.

My thoughts on the season. I want season 3 and I want it now. (Maybe a FALL comeback and not full year?) {Spoiler}{Spoiler} I don't think Robby will go to jail. Given the circumstances, I think it can be ruled self defense/accident. Anyway I feel bad for Robby. Daniel wrongfully misjudged him as going back to his old ways, and imo he obviously didn't mean to nearly kill Miguel. Man this season was phenominal, you really get emotionally vested in all characters as faces even when depending on episodes, they can be heels. Except Hawk (douche) and Kreese, you really want all other characters to succeed. Really proud of Dimitri kicking Hawks ass. As funny as he was, Stingray/Chubbs went into unnecessary overkill. And lastly, as f***ed as it was. The Red vs Black capture the headband game of Coyote Creek looked really fun lol. oh and another thing... {Spoiler} "Tory with a Y" and the messages that are teasing an apperance... Tory is Ali's daughter right?

Stingray was with Kreese in episode 10, seems that he will be more serious in Season 3 and its good, he will probably be used as a tool hype while Hawk and Tory will be the main antagonists.
Oh and Poor Johnny, he is like a tragic anime main character at this point.

As much as I like it&it's entertaining as Hell, I also chuckle almost every episode at the central conceit of dudes in their 50s giving a single f*** about a high school rivalry. You have to buy into it to even watch, but it's hysterical if you think about it for more than 5 seconds haha.
Of the adults, the only one who makes a damn bit of sense is Amanda La Russo. You totally get her frustration at her middle aged husband neglecting her and their successful business for high school karate heh.
The over the top soap opera cheesiness is what makes it compelling though, so it's the very thing that makes it stupid makes it great.
