All the dude has is a good look. Which is all you need to get a push from vince. This isn't just Vince,he has been pushed in TNA and in the Indies the last few years and was given the keys by Hunter in NXT. It's been nothing but a push upward since he was released the first time, this is basically the equivalent of a 5 tool rookie who say's all the right things and is a pro off the bat,but people still think for years they can hit another gear when he is just a slightly above average pro who will never live up all star/main event player level. Nothing wrong with being a US-IC Ceiling guy

I think his ceiling is dude #6 in the Elimination Chamber. That’s not a thing to be ashamed of.

Drew is great. It’s just the writing/material he has been given since he got back has succcccked. Super serious heels/faces can only go so far and they haven’t really given him anything to work with outside of that. Which is a shame because the dude left and came back super improved on almost every level from ringwork to promos. Yep, first night on the main roster and he's paired with Dolph. Damn kiss of death right there. Then they split that team and he's stuck doing nothing, with them hyping him as a psychopath but no reason why, moving right into role Ziggler had before leaving, nothing. Now with him in line to be Seth's first feud post-WM, they are doing their best to rush what they should have been doing all along, giving him purpose. He'll be fine if they keep building off of tonight.

Has the look of a main eventer but definitely missing something. Crowds aren’t reacting to him even though the push he has been given is pretty well booked for the most part (booked like a heel bad ass). Not sure what he’s missing. Maybe he’s mis cast as a heel and should be a face. Maybe he’s the reverse Lashley, who is only good as a heel.

I literally posted this exact same thing in the Ambrose thread lol.
I’m glad I’m not going crazy. Corbin and McIntyre are the drizzling shits and have no business being featured as much as they are. They’re never just on Raw once, either. They have around 3 or 4 segments a week!

Shame as he is really good as a take no bs face like he was for WCPW. White hot promos and awesome in ring action.

I always liked drew the first time round, I'm not watching too much at the moment so can't really comment on how he is doing.
That said I watched parts of fastlane and his was the only interview/promo that seemed natural. Corbin and lashley were terrible, especially Corbin, during it. The Bayley/Sasha interview seemed like kids playing wrestler, there was another little backstage thing where someone else just sounded like they were reading a script but I forget who.
I know it doesn't make him interesting, but at least he wasn't as bad as others are when doing a backstage promo lol

I don't care if he's colder than Neptune's south pole in the US, I'm still a big fan and support all the Drew Mac title runs in the world.

He simply doesn't have the It factor - never had it, never will.
I found him tedious during his first run and now, with his booking being broadcast like Radio Free Europe, this "Chosen One" sort of booking is once again enough to make me turn off the TV. His music is tedious, his ring gear is tedious, he looks like a cosplaying Baron Corbin v.1, and his in-ring work is midcard-level. I never got the hype around him and, while I can appreciate anyone working his way back the way he did, none of it shows in what he's done on the main roster.

He's pretty much Billy Gunn.
Objectively, he has all the tools, just (mostly) no one cares.

I watched part of Fastlane last night, and as soon as I saw Corbin, McIntyre, and Lashley pop up on the screen, I lost interest.
All 3 of these dudes need a ticket straight to Main Event, or just release them back into the wild so they can go to Impact, where no one will see them. They are all just awful.

It was the period he was most.over, thanksto Dolph

Also it’s starting to really bug me how he randomly kneels during his promos lol.
Has anyone else noticed this?

I don't know I've really liked him since he's come back and that's coming from someone who didn't find him that impressive during his first run. He's good in the ring, he's a good promo, and he legit comes off like a badass. I find it refreshing that he's not a coward like pretty much every heel in the company and isn't scared of getting in the face of guys like Braun.
I think the biggest problem with him is lack of range as a character. Being the super serious uptight guy isn't terrible but it is if that's all he is ALL the time. I'm not saying he has to become a comedy character or something but I think just showing a little bit of humor would go a long way. Thing is I don't his seeming lack of range as a character is because of the writers not wanting to write him any other way or just McIntyre not being able to play anything well other then mean intense guy well. I remember him adjusting decent enough when he was in 3MB so maybe the writers should try something different with him.

He looks like he is following stage directions to be intense rather than being naturally intense. And it sucks to watch.

Feel like 99.9% of issues come down to Bad Writing.
The 0.01% is Jinder Mahal and Baron Corbin being terrible wrestlers.
But so were The Godfather and ECW Rhyno. You write around it, accentuate the positive.
WWE's been stuck with one shoe fits all (wrestlers and fans) for so long.

I think the problem is that he just feels like a wrestler. Nothing more, nothing less. He does not feel like an actual living, breathing, real person. For example, he is always in his ring gear. When he attacks someone, when he cuts a promo, hell, when he arrives to the building, he is always in ring gear. I know that this may seem like a miniscule thing but I think that actually looking like a person can help the crowd to relate and build a connection. Look at Triple H. When he comes out in a suit, he is in "COO mode" and is probably going to make a match or a ruling. When Triple H comes out in jeans and a leather jacket, we know he is there for a fight. Drew McIntyre is always in full gear. Who is Drew McIntyre outside of the ring? Knowing that will give fans a reason to care about him inside of the ring.
