Well, obviously they're probably going to introduce the FF and X-Men into the universe, but what else? I'd like to see them go on a smaller scale for the next movies. I've said it before, but Gray Gargoyle or Arcade would be able to carry a whole film on their own IMO, you could just set up the next big bad (Galactus, Doom, Magneto, etc) in the background or during the mid-credits/post-credits.

There's Far from Home which is the next Spider Man film as well as GOTG3
I'd say they'd slide into the next generation of Heroes since this is the swansong for Cap and Tony.
Although I'd kill for a Daredevil and Heroes for Hire film

Magneto won't be the big bad. I see him sliding into more of a Loki role. As in he's evil but fans love him and he constantly breaks Charles's heart with betrayal

I'd guess more focus on stand-alone movies and less on building up to big Avengers-type team-ups.

Something along the lines like a Marvel Ultimate Alliance storyline or maybe introducing Mephisto as the next villain.

I'd guess more focus on stand-alone movies and less on building up to big Avengers-type team-ups. That’s my assumption, that they movie away from Phases and just start releasing movies that stand on their own. They’ll all obviously still be in the MCU, but won’t be as structured a “these 3 movies build to this, which with these 5 movies build to this, and then the next 8 movies build to this!!!” There will still be team ups, and big group movies but I think they’ll just be another movie (like Ragnarok) rather then massive, groundbreaking endgames (no pun intended) to build to. I think the MCU is gonna start feeling a lot bigger soon, with more stuff like GotG 1 and 2 that aren’t directly tied to Tony Stark.

Really hoping they finally get around to the long-rumored Power Pack movie, but I can see them being hesitant on that now that they can do Fantastic Four and X-Men. Lot lower priority of a teamup.

So Spider-man: Far from home is coming. After that it's less clear. The Eternals and Black Widow movies have been heavily rumored. No doubt Dr. Strange, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel sequels are down the road. Chriss Hemsworth may grab the hammer one more time with Taiki Waiti in the director's chair. With the Fox merger, we should be seeing x-men and the fantastic four coming. Finally there's GOTG 3 and the situation involving James Gunn.
One thing that is hazy is the role of Spider-man in the MCU. Sony has had success with Venom and Into the Spider verse. They may want Spider-man to start building their spider-verse.

One thing that is hazy is the role of Spider-man in the MCU. Sony has had success with Venom and Into the Spider verse. They may want Spider-man to start building their spider-verse. Spider-Man will have at least one more MCU movie under the current agreement. Was a six movie deal. Up to Sony and Marvel for more, but BOY, Sony hated that deal. Black Widow should start shooting in August and Eternals will not be far behind. Beyond that... very difficult to say and Marvel isn’t saying much. GOTG 3’s problem is two fold - with Gunn gone, they need to find a new director, one the stars will cooperate with. The other problem is the Gunn script. He finished one, so if they use any part of it, he deserves credit. Which make Disney look like an enormous hypocrite - good enough to write, but he cannot direct. I agree that odds are good for another Thor, Hemsworth is certainly game. Sequels to Dr. Strange, Black Panther and Captain Marvel are assured. Just a question of what is the plan and what new pieces will be added. Above all, do not look past Disney +. There will be Marvel stuff there, from the confirmed (Loki, Scarlet Witch and Vision) to the hoped for (Sif, Falcon and Winter Soldier). Heck, I still am praying we get a wrap up for Agent Carter myself. The bottom line is - what’s coming? A lot. When will we know? Probably this summer. Between Comic Con and D23 in July and August respectively, they may be making our faces melt.

Cosmic stuff for the larger arc; which makes losing Gunn/kneecappin Guardians dumber.

The chemistry Thor had with the Guardians in Infinity War was amazing, so I'd love to see a Guardians of the Galaxy + Thor and friends movie. It would be a way to get deeper into the cosmic stuff, you can debut Adam Warlock.
Now, the Fantastic Four... I don't see Marvel using them for a while (maybe until the mid to late 2020s) because they still have so much stink on them from the previous 100 failed movies. I also have no idea how they will deal with the X-Men as they still have movies coming out for the next few years. Though I would love Deadpool to appear in an Avengers/team up movie cause I think him trying so hard to be more family friendly is a funny idea.

Sequels for Black Panther, Captain Marvel and probably Doctor Strange. Hopefully the Bucky and Falcon mini can give those guys some actual personality, because a Winter Soldier, 70s style political thriller would be cool.
I'd love to see a full X-Men reboot, done by Marvel and focusing less on the Xavier/Magneto bromance, but it might end up just as disappointing as the last several X-Men movies.
They're planning an Eternals movie, which doesn't really interest me, but it's something fresh. And the Black Widow movie is still hovering just on the edge of existence.

Yeah pretty sure the addition of Carol was to add more inroads into the cosmic stuff To say nothing of the refresh on Thor. Thor, Marvel and Guardians can only serve as tent poles for stuff like Eternals and if/when the cosmic stuff from Fantastic Four comes on line. But all that is now crippled by a knee jerk reaction to Gunn’s tweets. Which they already knew about. But we’ve plowed that field. Still a mistake Marvel will pay for as not only have you lost Gunn, the script is unusable without being hypocrites and the Guardians cast is alienated with some looking at the exit door as soon as their contracts are up.
