An interesting little (well, if you think 30 minutes is little) video James did and has been working on since the fall comparing 12 different adaptations of Dracula and seeing which one is most faithful to the original book.

That was excellent! You can tell James has such a passion for films and filmmaking (and also Dracula).

That was a really good, informative video. I finally read the book, this Fall. It’s an excellent read. I can’t even imagine what it would’ve been like to read it before vampire lore was so ubiquitous.

Christopher Lee was much more fond of the Franco film than he was of any of his Hammer Dracula films, which he grew to detest.
I could have sworn it had a scene of Drac scaling a wall though. Oh well.

My immature and dyslexic mind saw the title “Les Nuits De Dracula” as “The Nuts of Dracula”

The one where Vlad Tepes is...just a very violent warlord. (ducking)

Surprised Coppala's film scored so high. The talk in horror mags back when it came out was how it took very little from the novel.
Nice to see Jesus Franco's film scored so high.
