I read the second Mass Effect novel. I don’t even remember what it was called but it wasn’t very good at all.

Just finished King of Kings by Wilbur Smith (with Imogen Robertson).
The villains were pure evil, the heroes flawless and the women tough, strong, willful and independent (yet end up saved by a man in the end).

Giving my brain a break until summer classes start...
Historical romance novel based in 1870s England. I enjoy learning about different time periods.

After several weeks of bedtime reading I finally finished Moby Dick. With its wonderful characters and seafaring thrills it is an great book. That is, at least, when it actually focuses on the story. Most of the book contains tedious descriptions of whales and whaling, reading like Wikipedia pages in book form. It is pretty much both the most boring and the most exiting novel you will ever read.
Recently also finished Avenger by Frederick Forsyth, the latter in particular is good read, including a fascinating look into the fall of Jugoslavia and rise of Bin Laden.
Concluded an early Harlan Coben novel as well.

Decided to kill some time by reading through The Comic Book History of Video Games.
Good read, although I think The First Quarter/Ultimate History of Video Games did a better job covering a lot of stuff that happened after the Atari age.

I don't even know man, after law school I pretty much just haven't read anything. It melted my f***ing brain.
Read all of the ASOIAF books on my commute, which had 30-40 minutes on the train. Then my commute changed so I drove in with my wife and took a 10 minute train ride, and I never found another time to read.
I've started a few books then just didn't finish them. His Majesty's Dragon (Napoleonic wars plus dragons), Shift (Book 2 of the Silo trilogy). I enjoyed them, but I just lost interest.
Read more toddler books to my kid than anything lately.

Zombieslayer by Nathan Long - a Warhammer Gotrek and Felix novel. More of the same really but a fun read (like watching an action film) Heinrich Kemmler is the villain in this one which was fun. (For those who know about such things.)

With the Old Breed by E.B. Sledge: Considered by many to be the greatest first hand account from a soldier in WWII. The author tells his story of fighting in the battle of Peleliu and Okinawa. Just an absolutely incredible book. The matter of fact manner, in which Sledge tells his story, is mesmerizing. No frills. No flowery passages. He tells you what happened to him, his company, and how he felt about it. It’s about the horrors of war And what war can make normal people do. But through it all, Sledge never loses his humanity.

Artemis by Andy Weir. A very fun novel about life on a moon colony. Andy Weir wrote The Martian so he gets nicely detailed oh the tech of the city and much like The Martian, it makes it feel very real. A very straightforward plot, but very entertaining.

Can't remember the last one I finished, but I'm currently in the middle of American Conspiracies by Jesse Ventura.
Not gonna go into detail about the contents on this board, but if you're into that kinda stuff like I am, it's a very good read, and informative.
Plus it's fun to read his books in a Lapsed Jesse voice.

Finale, the last of the Caraval series.
It was ok ... but the hook of Caraval and Legendary was the game and mystery and magic. Finale pretty much shoved that aside and put the romance front and center.
Caraval and Legendary are both excellent.
