The Nausea, Taskmaster, Primitive Isolation Tactics, Munition Date: Friday March 15th, 2019 Venue: LOLA in Toronto, Ontario The first act “Munition” was a noise act. Distorted wind with a few drumbeats. It was okay when the distortion got amped up a bit midway through his set. The next guy called Primitive Isolation Tactics was moar distorted wind. It was much harsher and cooler but it was still just distorted wind for fifteen minutes. The next girl went by “Taskmaster”. She started out with some nice violins, and then segued into moar distorterd wind. She was pretty cool. The last guy was called the Nausea and he was moar distorted wind noise. So it was a night of distorted wind. The venue was pretty memorable. It was a really small crust bar that catered to the homeless. I’d go back. But my favourite bar was just down the road and I had to head there afterwards for a bit to cleanse my palette. The Nausea (I didn't get any pictures, but it was a guy sitting at a desk playing with a mixing board) thenausea.bandcamp.comTaskmaster youtu.be/wJ87Om0goOAPrimitive Isolation Tactics absurdexposition.bandcamp.com/album/past-spheres-and-present-circlesMunition munition.bandcamp.com

I’ve never understood bands who tout themselves as noise rock and improvise whole songs. One genre where the “that isn’t even music” BS is actually true.
