You can't dismiss it as a one time fluke anymore I can't. Others, however...

Once is a fluke. Twice is luck.
Three times? You have something good going and anyone who tries to explain it any other way is a mouth breathing moron who doesn't deserve attention from anyone.

You can't dismiss it as a one time fluke anymore I can't. Others, however... If the dude can get me statistics and facts of this stuff, I’ll greatly appreciate it. On a smaller scale, I can say there are die hards in Ireland that go to every wrestling show ever (I know a good chunk of them personally) but that doesn’t override the fact that it’s grown to a point where there are many places that can do very well with different audiences at each of those shows, family friendly or 18+.

Got my ticket! Will be my first time in Chicago. Also super excited that the Cubs will be in town and I can go to Wrigley all in one weekend. Pro-tip? Try to get rooftop bleacher seats if you can. It's an amazing way to watch a Cubs game.

It's actually remarkable how AEW's managed to make every upcoming show so far feel like the biggest thing ever

Was mulling over trying for tickets but wasn't sure I could block that weekend out for travel. Drag.
And yeah, this is big: consider that some fans might have already traveled to Vegas for DoN, some might have done NYC for NJPW (have to figure there's crossover in that audience, and judging by the Elite shirts I saw at G1 Supercard it was tough to ignore), but unlike New Japan struggling to sell tickets to Dallas, All Out sells over 10,000 tickets in a quarter of an hour.
That tells me we're not talking about the same traveling audience; sure, I'll be there are a few who'll do it, especially considering Vegas and Chicago are both attractive travel destinations and DoN was Memorial Day weekend while All Out will be Labor Day weekend, but there's a limit to that.
I'll be interested in the demographic numbers if/when they're released: how many ticket buyers are locals, how many are travelers, how many went to other major non-WWE cards this year, etc., but if we get to later this year and they announce another big card in a different city and THAT sells out pretty quickly, too, then what room will there be for anyone to doubt what's going on here?

I didn't seriously think I'd get any tickets but I checked the site out a little after noon. I was like 50,000 on the queue. This is insane. I really do think they should have run a bigger venue for this show. Why not go to the United Center at least? I know they had some sort of loyalty to the Sears Centre but make the money while it's there to be made.
Truth be told I have no idea how many of these people are the same. We'll find out once they hit TNT what kind of ratings they do and what the TV tapings do on a more weekly basis.

It's actually remarkable how AEW's managed to make every upcoming show so far feel like the biggest thing ever "I'm All In" and "...is All In" as a tag line for the first show was just brilliant. I bet almost everyone who attended the show posted "I'm All In" to their social media. I know I did when I got tickets.

It's undeniable at this point, selling out three big venues like this isn't luck or a miracle, they have something and it's something people want to see. They aren't turning people away, they're only getting more and more interest and fanfare.

I don't blame AEW for not trying to sell out a 60,000 seat arena yet. But could they certainly have moved up to 20k-30k?

I don't blame AEW for not trying to sell out a 60,000 seat arena yet. But could they certainly have moved up to 20k-30k? Probably. At the same time there’s no harm in a) checking if the first sell out was a fluke considering they weren’t doing it as a promotion but as an indie super show (which is why I found it weird when people were counting it as their first show because...it wasn’t) and b) going back to a place that by all accounts wanted them to come back again. Good to build relationships with arenas for the long term.

Lots of possible reasons not to move up yet - Rent at the Sears Center is probably comparably cheap, doing the one year anniversary in the same venue, a guaranteed sellout with excessive demand probably generates more press than nearly selling out a 20k-30k arena which is particularly helpful with TV right around the corner. Gratitude to the Sears Center people.

I was thinking about it, didn't think it would sell out so fast, that's great. I would definitely buy tickets when they start touring the NYC area.

I just assumed it would sell out basically instantly because even if you assume its roughly the same 10k people who went to All In or Double Or Nothing, those fans have been kept very happy and very excited. Honestly if the worst case scenario for your promotion is that there around 10k people that are willing to fly anywhere in the country and spend any amount of money for your event you're in a pretty good place.

I just feel like pointing out that it actually wouldn't require a lot of vacation time. The shows are on the weekend. It seems like it would be pretty easy to only take one day off per show (the Friday before the show) to fly to the show, and then fly back either the Sunday or Monday, since All In/DoN/All Out are all on holiday weekends. That means that a hypothetical person that were to fly in to all three shows would really need to only use a grand total of three vacation days to make them all.
