If found guilty, can you strip them of the ws title?

If found guilty, can you strip them of the ws title? In theory yes but you would have to prove they actually did that during a World Series game However, this is another time the Stros have been accused of cheating. This is SMU levels of being smug and acting like you are the smartest person in the room When the Braves violated the stuff with the international prospects MLB made them all free agents and didn't let the Braves sign any above a level for a few years I believe. What I expect from this if true is a significant fine, loss of draft picks and potentially loss of international draft picks as well Anything they can do to hurt them that doesn't involve free agency

Wasn’t there already smoke about the Astros having some less than honest practices? Of course a former player saying it definitely adds an extra layer of credibility.

The Astros are gonna go from the most disciplined team in baseball to the most disciplined team in baseball. It makes sense, I swear.

I say bulldoze the stadium and move the team to East St Louis, Shelbyville or Vegas.

All from the article I think they had something with the Cardinals as well. Add on their recent stupidity with this Osuna situation as well. Their reputation is f***ed

Unless there’s a last second secret surprise, it appears the Giants will choose Gabe Kapler as their manager.
Exactly as I’ve called for awhile... Farhan is an analytics guy, and as far as I’ve read the paper in Gabe’s pocket thinks for him. Unlike Bochy who managed like a human.
We’ll see. I’m not exactly thrilled with it.

Their reputation is f***ed While there may be fire associated with this smoke, and with the allegations coming from a former player, it has more than a ring of truth to it, the floodgates have opened on Astros paranoia. You can see it in that ESPN article with ridiculous accusations like whistling noises, banging on a trash can, or the guy in the train above left field helping with the subterfuge. In many ways, it reminds me of the NFL's Patriots paranoia, which seemed to reach its peak in 2015 when Don Van Natta and Seth Wickersham wrote an extremely thin, extremely loosely-sourced story which had every allegation under the sun. Nothing was deemed too ridiculous for those two, as they went so far as to publish allegations from swiping playbooks from the visiting team's hotel to supplying opponents with warm Gatorade. Again, there may be something to Mike Fiers' accusations, as he's a former player with inside knowledge of the organization. But what also will come of this is that the doors are open now for any half-baked allegation to come to light, regardless of how absurd it may be.

Damn. The Yanks should have won that 2017 series. They stomped the Astros at Yankee Stadium but couldn’t win in Houston, which makes sense if the Astros were cheating.

I saw a video on Twitter of a pitching sequence between a White Sox pitcher and I believe Evan Gattis. There would be a loud bang coming from the dugout before the pitcher threw a changeup. The pitcher caught onto it and changed things up. It was crazy to watch.

When you have it coming straight from the source like Fiers is doing and Mangini did before him, there is def a fire to that big f***ing cloud of smoke. Now, will it give hacks something to write about, sure. That's why you use your brains to determine the BS and what's real but it is a consequence of cheating/bending the rules too the craziest degree that you don't get the benefit of doubt anymore

Also, a number of people who previously worked in the Astros organization corroborated Fiers' story. And you notice that the Astros GM didn't outright deny the allegations, as I imagine he'll try to paint himself as ignorant of the cheating schemes if more evidence turns up. There's definitely something there.

Don’t know if this was posted but wow that’s blatant. The Astros need to get penalized badly for this.

MLB is going to interview Astros manager AJ Hinch, former bench coach and current Red Sox manager Alex Cora, and former Astros player and now Mets manager Carlos Beltran in the investigation.
Rob Manfred said on the record that if their investigations show proof the Astros cheated, they will "be punished in a way that makes sure this never happens again." Whatever that means.
