Contra Hard Corps is not false advertising, they mean it. It’s an insanely difficult run ‘n gun. Gunstar Heroes can be overwhelming depending on your difficulty level and your timing, but Hard Corps has a giant robot with sledgehammer arms chasing you down and you’ve gotta shoot from behind. Fun, but prepare to die a lot. Can't be harder than Contra 3. Right?

This is a really solid lineup so far. The only thing keeping me from saying it's a must buy is me wanting to see how the games play. We don't need another Playstation Classic happening.

Golden Axe 2, Boogerman, Dizzy, Sonic Spinball and Micro Machines would all make great additions.

Well since the Mickey games are in there, hopefully there's a chance of Lion King and Alladin?

I might be really f***ing furious.
It looks like MUSHA is deconfirmed for the NA model.
Because that and ThunderForce 3 were announced at the same time for the JP Model.
And for the US model, ThunderForce 3 got announced... but not MUSHA.

As I said before, but will expand on this, the Japanese version of the game actually has it where you have 3 hit points and unlimited continues. And the Americans called them wusses. One hit point and only 5 continues before you get kicked back to the beginning of the game.

I just had a thought: What if Sega released some games on the console that were Sega Channel exclusives? Stuff like Mega Man: The Wily Wars, Pulseman, Garfield: The Lost Levels...
That would be pretty awesome.

That would be pretty awesome. They could go really obscure and get games from the Sega Game Toshokan service in Japan. How else could we experience Sonic Eraser and its flawless soundtrack:

Would love to see Mutant League Football,Mutant League hockey, Haunting starring Polterguy,Shadowrun and Mazing Saga on this.
If it's hackable and fairly cheap I will grab one. I already have a model 1 Genesis, a bunch of games plus a flashcart.

Thunder Force IV is far far superior to Thunder Force 3. And of course, yet again the biggest omission is Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles. Or really, Sonic 3&Knuckles, the complete game. Will those legal issues ever be sorted out? It's not something that can just be replaced. The console NEEDS Crusader of Centy also, the Megadrive Link to the Past. Story of Thor and Ristar are practically a given. Really the whole Golden Axe and Streets of Rage trilogies should be standard. Columns? Quackshot? Outrunners? Tiny Toon adventures: Wacky Sports? How about add-on games like Shining Force CD or Knuckles Chaotix? Please though, don't waste a slot on Sonic Spinball or Super Thunder Blade or Super Hang-On. I really think even Comix Zone is a bit of a wasted spot. Even Toejam and Earl 1 imo is not as good as 2. When I saw Puyo Puyo Tsu for the Japanese version, I knew "Yup, Mean Bean Machine again." . Both Puyo Puyo Tsu and Mean Bean Machine really do have annoying handling as opposed to later puyo titles.

The Genesis Aladdin and all versions of The Lion King were Virgin/Disney. Might tie things up. The Mickey games on Nintendo consoles were almost exclusively made by Capcom. Fantasia, Castle of Illusion, and World of Illusion were all 100% Sega.

Being a snes kid at heart my knowledge of Mega Drive games is basically Streets of Rage, Sonic and Road Rash.
What are the under-rated/obscure games that should be included like the equivalent of Snes titles such as Plok, The Firemen or Front Mission: Gun Hazard?

I really only learned of it from the PS4 collection, never really a Genesis guy myself, but I really want Bio-Hazard Battle. Pretty instantly fell in love with it.

If you're a Link to the Past fan, I'd highly recommend Crusader of Centy (Soleil in PAL regions, I think). You get Zelda-ish gameplay, as well as a very Atlus story that starts off cute, but really goes places. Great soundtrack and some fun aspects like that instead of Link's gadgets, every power you get is from recruited animals. You can have two out at once, so you can have a lot of fun finding combos.
