Pretty recently probably around 2014 or 2015 I remember an in ring promo with Roman and Vince McMahon where Vince says something like, you're only a generation removed from having a bone through your nose. Be A Star, indeed.

Lawler had some big ones....
During his 1996 feud with Jake Roberts: "Jake Roberts and the Summer Olympics have a lot in common. They both got bombed."
At WrestleMania 13 during RM/Sultan: "At the Slammys, Rocky Maivia got up there and thanked his dad with a long, boring speech. It was so boring, Christopher Reeve got up and walked out."
At No Way Out 1998 during Quebecers/Godwinns: "Don't get me started on (Bill) Clinton. Where's Lee Harvey Oswald when his country needs him?"

Between "bestiality sex" and "I'm not a fan of the black people", Kurt's had a few bigguns. Wasn't he making a point though, that he could say anything, and people would cheer him? Like, that was the joke?

Like, that was the joke? The bestiality sex line was from a different angle all together, but Kurt not liking black people and wanting to make Jesus Christ tap out was all from that promo where Kurt said a bunch of awful things, only to say that he could say anything he wanted, but the fans will still cheer for him because he's the best wrestler alive, and the crowd agreed with him.

I think it probably helped that he was obviously joking in the context of the promo. The bestiality one, though, was probably trying to evoke screwing like animals, but just sounds super racist instead.

Yet for weeks, no one in the back corrected this...

Jesse Venturas "this looks like to me Roots 2 McMahon" comment. Also on the November 88 SNME, Ventura says during the Hercules/Virgil match that Hercules resembles Kunta Kinte. This was the storyline where Heenan sold Herc to DiBiase as his "slave", yeah that definitely hasn't aged well.

At No Way Out 1998 during Quebecers/Godwinns: "Don't get me started on (Bill) Clinton. Where's Lee Harvey Oswald when his country needs him?" I'm still surprised that Edge and Christian referenced Kennedy in their Fully Loaded in ring promo. "Who killed Kennedy? Was it Lee Harvey Oswald or was it a conspiracy? Well had he spent 5 more minutes here, he would have died anyway"

I'm a big fan of Lawler, but he's said worse than this in Memphis. Like telling Lance Russell that there were two things he couldn't give Kamala: a black eye and a fat lip. Even Lance had to wince at that one.

Vince said something about hiring a biker gang to rape and murder Undertaker's wife. (Before their buried alive match...I don't think I dreamt this up)

Thankfully, Ambrose refused to do a promo where he said he hoped Roman lost his cancer battle. Had he gone through with it, that would likely be the top one here.

During a Bull Nakano/ALundra Blayze match the night after WM 11, Jim Cornette said the day Bull won the title was a great day in Japan. "No one got on the subway that day!" This was a couple weeks after the sarin gas attack on the Tokyo subway.

Even though I loathe heels using dead people for heat, I think the worst might be Hardy saying he hopes Edge dies in a car crash.
When wrestlers insult the dead for heat in kayfabe I don't think they believe the things they're saying. I'm pretty sure in that moment Matt, even though saying it in kayfabe, genuinely wanted Edge to die in a motherf***ing car crash.

In SMW New Jack said "Shout out to my homeboy OJ Simpson. Two less we gotta worry about."
