I have never heard anything negative about her and she always seems very down to earth in interviews. I met her after a ROH show a few years ago and she couldn't have been any sweeter. While Taven and Bennett stood in the background like some awkward third wheels lol

Shane Douglas always seemed to have a greatly inflated opinion of himself when he really only had success in a moderate sized independent promotion for a comparatively short period of time. I absolutely hated Shane Douglas in ECW and in his second WCW run he wasn't any better. But I will say, in recent times, he sounds much more humble in interviews.

I mean, we had an entire thread dedicated to Brimstone's delusions of grandeur. Dude's never wrestled anywhere of note, never wrestled anyONE of note, no one on here can find more than 1 or 2 of his matches, if that, and yet he thinks he's a multi-media superstar. That's honestly the thing that puzzles me the most. You'd think he'd find someone of note to wrestle. There are plenty of guys who have found some kind of name value somewhere who are still affordable enough, some of whom would probably be fine doing the job, even, but no. I've never seen some Brimstone match turn up with so-and-so from the mid-2000s or a late WCW Power Plant guy or anything, not even an FCW washout. If he's such a money mark, I don't get why he's never ponied up the money for that. Even bigger nobodies than him have done it. He really must truly believe he's a star who doesn't need it. It could also be that he knows if he wrestled, say, Meltman of FCW fame, or The Maestro from WCW, that video would pop up on forums like this in a "Hey remember this guy?" thread, referring to Brimstone's opponent. Noone aside from us would mention the subpar mook they were wrestling so he'd be a nobody and a nobody having a below average match. House of cards toppled.

Shane is one of these guys who plays a part if needed often. In the past he was getting paid to do shoots where he ripped into Flair et al. Around the same time he has much better interviews where he's open, fair and realistic, praising the skills of those he's buried in 'Franchise' mode.

While I'd have to admit, he probably had a bigger fan base than most would think, f***ing Buff Bagwell has got to be up there. I've heard him mention his own name amongst guys like Rock, Austin, Hogan whoever. Talking about how when WWF brought the WCW guys over, "everybody else was hoping for a chance, but Buff had a job, that was the thought."

Colt said Buff got an appropriate response from the crowd and then stood there in wonder when the whole crowd popped for Colt when he came out.

One of my favorite stories from him, is when he was talking to someone, could've been Kayfabe Commentaries or someone.. and tried to convince everyone he was bigger than good old Scotty Steiner.. sorry Bagwell, you ain't that Buff.

A lot of people who've met Buff said he's a very nice guy, but EXTREMELY full of himself. He must be up there.

Gail is an interesting case of being talented and having some accolades under her belt but wanting to be a big fish in a small pond and try to take credit for Women Revolution

A few of these names mentioned I've seen at independent shows where they get dressed right next to the lowest card guy just coming in and the WWE/WCW/ECW legend treats them as if they were as well known name as they are. The four specifically are Bagwell, Douglas, Gail and Maria.
As for Paul Roma, yes he had a long run but in WWF the most note worthy thing he was a part of was the first Survivor Series face team winning. And he and Powers weren't really involved much, they didn't get the end pin and WWF probably booked the ending with them winning just to show how "anything can happen" in the WWF. His Power & Glory team was basically put together with the premise that he and Hercules were tired of losing and now found a winning way. They were basically a better looking version of if Boris Zhukov and Barry Horowitz teamed and were managed by Slick. Same basic thing. He will also always be known as THE worst choice of a Four Horseman with no one coming close and the 1993 version of the team was seen as a failure before the end of their first show simply because of his addition. And his purposely ruining the Alex Wright match came to bite him in the butt because he's never worked for a major promotion since and I wouldn't count the WWF dark matches in the late 90s.

I have to strongly with you about the him and Powers not being involved much in that Survivor Series match. If you watch it they were in the ring for probably about 90% about of it. Granted almost all of it was spent getting their ass handed to them and taking moves however they were really the most focused on team in that as the whole story of the match was basically how they somehow were surviving and kicking out of everything despite the punishment they were taking. I agree though that he is somebody who is pretty full of himself for the career that he had. Yeah he had a longer run in the WWF but almost all of it was spent looking up at the lights. Even in the tag team pushes he got he was still always the sidekick and the guy who would always eat the pins to protect the other guy (Hercules, Orndorff, Arn). One good thing I will say about him is that despite being arrogant he does come off like a stand up guy. He was pretty loyal to Hercules as he quit in protest of them getting split up despite being promised as push because he knew they were basically putting Herc out to pasture when Pat Patterson gave a very unconvincing "well he'll be ok" when Roma asked what they were going to do with his friend.

There’s actually a thread above this one that Sexy Star credits herself for wwe’s woman’s revolution lol

It's funny that Sexy Star's name hasn't come up in this thread yet while there's a thread right above this one about her claiming she personally started the Women's Revolution.

From what I’ve heard Franchise is also really good to work with on the Indies. The Card is Going to Change podcast mentioned one time where he even changed the finish of a match so he’d lose to a no name local guy since Douglas might not be back, but the local guy would. He also came off really well in his YouShoot and some other interviews.
