ROH needs to tread very carefully these days. The original "super indy" lost that stature a long time ago and has been struggling to find a unique identity for years now. If they go the route of recruiting heavily from WWE and TNA alumni, they're going to end up in trouble. Worse, they'll be the new Dixie Carter era TNA.

They drew just under 500 people both nights in Columbus, OH. Way down from what they did there before according to Meltzer.

Wait until someone in Allure wins the WOH title and all three are recognized as the champ. That'll be like Bubba and Lizard Man's middle ground. Thats so LayCool, and also the moment WOH is dead for good. Its also going to cause negative reception if they have Velvet or Mandy Leon going over the likes of Mayu, Kagetsu, etc.

I think ROH is effectively dead if / when NJPW ditches them. Not that they'll necessarily close up shop, but that would basically be the end of anyone having any reason to pay attention to them or talk about them.

ROH's production is atrocious. You'd think being part of a giant media conglomerate like Sinclair would mean they'd improve at least a bit in that department.

And Enzo and Cass are still with ROH and the whole thing really was a worked shoot courtersy of Bully Ray.
SIGH.

I’m late to the party but why is Bully Ray even in charge of booking? Didn’t he just had a cup of coffee and a short run in ROH, like what does he brings to the table?
Delirious was vital in developing Steen and Generico then Lethal and Cole, why not just let him stay in power when he’s a proven commodity?

Delirious has been giving them diminishing returns the last several years. He might be more proven, but his consistency of late has been faltering badly.
I'm not optimistic about Bully. I've heard he has a very good mind for wrestling, but thus far the tactics he's been using just don't work for ROH. What he thinks will work, might work for WWE or Impact, but ROH is a very different company.

Ideas man perhaps, but he wouldn't want the book. Not sure what that means if he does get it, but he's not someone I've ever heard people talk about booking in the same way as say, Raven.

Realistically, if you’re NJPW right now, outside of loyalty, why would you maintain this relationship with ROH?
Who is there in ROH that you want to use? Jeff Cobb, Bandido and Marty Scurll (who’s leaving as soon as he can)?
To me, the relationship is increasingly looking like a one-way street. If NJPW pulls the plug, things will go from bad to worse.
Scary days ahead for ROH right now.
