A Mark? Excuse me? LMAO I know you didn't just say that out your mouth
At what point did I rag on Impact. I stated facts, he's used them (Impact) times in the past for better contracts elsewhere. You can be friends with someone and I know they are good friends but that does not equal to Jericho signing.
@kn i'm dead lol
You're very wrong here. Jericho would have definitely made appearances for them. "Facts?" no you didn't you're stating assumptions. Again listen to the TIJ with him, D'Amore and Callis. Who am I going to believe? Somebody on a message board or somebody who's known Jericho personally for well over 25 years? Yeah, no. Don't talk to someone here like that again. Don't care about mark this or mark that, don't do it again.

Idk about Kenny, but Jericho wouldve probably gone to Impact if it wasnt for AEW, ROH wouldnt have been place fitting for him besides that place is slowly starting to become clownshoes with Bully Ray gaining power.

I don't know much about Omega, so I cant speculate what we may have done.
Jericho however... man, that still just seems like such a reach. Maybe around 07-09. I cant imagine him wanting to work somewhere, even for decent money where the TV deal is up in the air so frequently.

RVD is still cool, he's at least on par with latter day Ric Flair in WWE. And I enjoyed latter day Ric Flair in WWE. I mean, naturally you'll be influenced by how much you are or aren't a fan of him, I'm a fan. But the internet has been tough on RVD for a long long time, more so than to his peers. You can find some decent indie RVD matches from 2017 and on, on youtube. To me, as solid as some of the recent Hardyz stuff. Slower than before sure, but still good psychology and hitting the big spots, keeping the crowd into it. Overall, we've all seen The Wrestler and various docs I'm sure, it's not always fun being a 48 year old wrestler. Seeing him for me would be a positive on any show, as long as he chooses to keep doing it. The problem is with RVD his stuff has never changed so the fact it has never changed makes it noticeable him doing it 1.5 step slower then he used to
He can probably still work a decent enough match as he has the in ring experience to make up for lack of foot speed and losing athleticism
For Impact, he should be a guy who helps the young guys and gets a few good wins to keep his credibility good level but at most he's a losing challenger in a world title match
Good vet to have around and hopefully he's in the right mindset for this current Impact run

I don't think either were going to happen. Jericho's friendships notwithstanding, it's taken the attachment of this cool hip new thing to make him pull away from his friendship with Vince. Jericho's managed to hitch his star now to the big new thing going on and that counts for a lot in making someone like him break from the pattern of complacency. New Japan was on the rise, he got buddies to work his cruise show and now he's able to do something on a new show and be a big piece of a hot new brand. Those same factors aren't really there for TNA being in such a stagnant position, I don't think it has the appeal for him that'd make him actually break off from Vince fully, since before AEW happened he was sitll at least keeping to his initial promise of not working the US for anyoen but Vince.
Omega just wasn't going to happen. The whole "We're a package deal" thing with The Elite counts for a lot, and I don't see The Bucks going back to TNA. WWE had the money, New Japan had the chance to keep being in Japan, TNA was the bottom rung choice in all of that.

I think Jericho could have potentially done a match or two, especially if it were in Canada and he could rationalize it as not crossing Vince, but Omega's a whole lot iffier. I get that he's from Canada, but he'd relinquished his Canadian citizenship already to become a Japanese one, hadn't he? Just not a whole lot of reason to think he'd have made the jump, even if they had some deal to let him work NJPW still, which sounds like a prime opportunity to anger NOAH.

I see him doing a tv taping and 1 big PPV match as a favor and then bouncing out, but that would have been it. Part of me is shocked he didn't, actually. No chance in hell he would sign with TNA full time though. He cares far too much about his legacy to be stuck there for any period I'm sure. More likely, he would have freelanced and popped in and out of WWE/NJPW/TNA/whatever if he didn't sign with AEW.
Omega signing? I don't see that happening at all on any level.

I will throw out that Omega semi-regularly makes appearances in the tiny Winnipeg promotion that Callis runs, including his first match since WK as far as I recall. I think the appeal of the Impact contract for either dude would be the ability to do whatever they want outside of impact, something the WWE certainly doesn’t offer. In a no AEW scenario where you have a dude who wants to push the boundaries of wrestling like Omega and a guy who wants to do every business venture he can like Jericho, that could mean a lot.

As much as I love Callis, and enjoy Impact, it's an indie that draws small crowds and isnt on TV anymore.
RVD isnt signed there, he is passing through. Omega was not choosing a Twitch show with 50 people over the WWE and NJPW. Neither is Jericho.

Jericho, maybe. I've come to expect things that're a little out of the ordinary from him.
Omega? Not a chance.

I still think that Jericho was close to doing a few appearances around BFG to promote his cruise. But something more long term was out of the question, definitely.

Considering AEW isn't exclusive contracts, couldn't Kenny and Jericho still work TNA if they wanted to?
