Aubrey Edwards is really good. She's my favorite ref after Rick Knox. Between her and Knox, and Bryce Remsburg AEW has some of the coolest refs in professional wrestling. Paul Turner is a great hand too, and Posey's got a ton of experience as a ref. The only person who I really am not crazy about is Hebner, but it seems like he's going to used sparingly, as he hasn't been at either Fyter Fest or FTTF.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Hebner was only tapped for when Cody wants to go fully old-school with his matches and didn't appear otherwise.

Yeah, Hebner's the one guy I'm iffy about and that's more for his shenanigans outside the ring. Well, that and he was kinda crappy in TNA.

Hebner's getting up there in age, like others said, I can't imagine he'll be full time. I may end up being wrong on that, but I feel like he'll be reserved for "big" matches on PPVs and something along those lines.

I realized what the Bucks/Rhodes reminded me of; Okada/Scrull from All In. As a match, it would have benefited from a trim here and there but the moments it needed to work worked and made it better. I’m not going to rewatch it but the moment where the Bucks kick Cody in the back of the head is one I will because that’s excellent character work for what the match was setting up just like I’ll rewatch Scrull grabbing Okada’s hand after he mimes “205”. I made that same comparison at the viewing party I was at and a couple of my friends openly winced at the comparison, but it's pretty unfortunately apt. Maybe not in quite as generously a way though because we were all pretty burnt out on the show by the time the match happened and it just took too much out of it.

I got around to watching the show tonight and man I just wasn’t feeling it myself
I dunno if it was the length or just tiredness or the fact that without weekly TV yet that I feel I don’t have a reason to care about some of the wrestlers (yet) but apart from near the end it just wasn’t catching me
