Sam Kinison. Just full stop.
He's lucky he's dead because his career would be over anyway. He was controversial at the time, but it was just, "That's what he is". Now, just done.
Same as Sebastian Bach wearing a "AIDS Kills Fags Dead" shirt on stage. Hugely controversial at the time, but he apologized and the world moved on, now, that would have been the end of Skid Row.

Eddie Murphy did a stand up video from 84/85 and was talking about AIDS and faggots. Doesn't age that well at all.

Saw parts of Crocodile Dundee the other day. Dundee casually grabbing a transsexual's crotch to verify their gender and the whole place applauding was definitely cringey.

Master Roshi in Dragonball, at least his more perverted moments. The sad thing is, when he's not drooling over women, he's actually a somewhat interesting character.

It was amazingly casual about cocaine too. That's the 80s I guess. I never watched the whole movie and only caught this little bit when it was on TV

Then there's its 90s equivalent: Austin Powers' "That's a man, baby!" (We really need a thread like this for the nineties. Maybe the noughties even)

The Fabulous Freebirds would have never been formed what with their promo styles and wearing the Confederate flag
They even edited and removed the bars off of Hayes robes he wore to the ring in WWE17

Just '80s pro wrestling. Dukes of Hazzard for these reasons? Never mind the characters never showed Confederate or worse tendencies.

It also wasn't from the 80's. I also don't think they were being unreasonable. If they don't even know the guy, and he has no job or car or anything, not sure what they'd get out of dating him. He's just trying to get laid. I mean, they were shaming dudes for being in the passenger side/car pooling Apparently they don't give a damn about climate change

They were so irrelevant that everyone in high school thought it was Kid Rock (I guess my flannel shirt partly covered it). This was in 2001 by the way.

I thought they played amazing. Mind you, it’s not Baz, but they were awesome live.

Bad enough "Growing Pains" often had fat jokes made at the expense of the teenage daughter, but what made it worse was the actress who played her suffered from anorexia in real life.

I forgot how bad Roshi could be in that I think Dragonball is probably a more interesting show storyline wise than Dragonball Z, but Roshi is really bad in it at times.

Bad enough "Growing Pains" often had fat jokes made at the expense of the teenage daughter, but what made it worse was the actress who played her suffered from anorexia in real life. And as I said in the other threads, some things have thankfully changed, but not enough. But yes, this was an issue just as the stories about Tracey Gold broke out, even. Didn't they say the jokes on the show helped lead to her condition? And if we want to add Harsher in Hindsight moments that made certain things cringeworthy? The moment in The Golden Girls when Rose asks "what if there's only one of us left?" An episode of Ray Combs' Family Feud had a question along the lines of, something you think of when you're depressed/sad. One of the (not given) answers on the board ended up being "suicide," and Ray comments, "No one should think of suicide."
