Lita went out in one of the worst possible ways. Whoever wrote that ending for her should be ashamed of themselves.

Lita is always my natural answer. That was terrible and now that I know she wasn't in on it makes it much worse. After reading the other responses here a lot of guys had shitty send offs.
I'll add another one. Ron Simmons was fired on SmackDown after losing a tag match. From what I remember reading at the time Ron was not happy about it but Prichard tells a different story on the latest STWW. The next week JBL was born to the excitement of Prichard, Vince and absolutely NOBODY else.

Undertaker's initial sendoff was so bad with Roman they Red Pilled it and let him SQUASH John Cena... if we ignore the other matches he's also had since then as well.
But default I think like many have said here it's Lita. It's nice to see that she's come back and had another match at Evolution so you can say all is good now, but for a long time, her sendoff and the way it was gone about, was one of the worst examples of the treatment of women WWE has had, up there with needing a sponsor to slap them on the head to stop glorifying Moolah.

In retrospect, what happened to Lita was beyond disgusting. Just made Cryme Tyme look like a couple of creeps.
Although the Spirit Squad literally being crammed in a box and shipped to OVW was probably the biggest blatant burial to ever happen onscreen.

It’s Lita for me. That whole “Ho auction” thing was really tasteless and degrading.

Hogan's 1993 sendoff was awkward as hell. Loses to Yoko due to an exploding camera and the WWF Magazine the next month proclaimed Hulkamania dead. No mention of him on TV ever again until they started bashing him in the New Generation promos. Hardly the goodbye / thank you that you think someone of Hulk's level would get.
Same for Austin. His first sendoff is him walking out complete with a total burial on Confidential. Vince leaves a beer for him the next week on Raw before Rock comes out unexpectedly and in a roundabout way tells Austin to "get the F out". Then Austin comes back in 2003 and leaves again in 2004 by just quietly disappearing from TV. I thought these 2 at least deserved the sendoff that Savage got from Vince on Raw.

Didn't Rob Conway get fired on TV essentially? I remember this as the one time Vince said "You're fired!" and then they legitimately released the guy. Faarooq's release in 2004 was a similar sort of thing. At the Smackdown Tuesday taping, he got kayfabe fired by Heyman (with Bradshaw sorta screwing him over, as a way to start his JBL heel turn) - on Wednesday, they legit released him - the firing airs Thursday. And yet, he'd still be working for Vince into the summer of 1993 on intl house shows.

While I agree that Lita’s send off was in extremely poor taste, to say the least, I think its also worth remembering that such was her character at the time. Her legacy has undergone a major rehab over time, but in that particular period the memory of her being caught having a fling with Edge while Matt Hardy was home injured was still fresh in the collective memory of fans, and hence she had been rewritten as a tramp on tv. For sure they took it too far in that final match and should have been more respectful.

She mentioned on the Ross Report that it was still a sore spot for her.

It's definitely Lita. Everything else can come down to effective heel work. Everything about Lita's sendoff seemed personal.

Wasn't Rob Conway fired by Vince himself after losing a "Loser Leaves WWE" match he clearly had no chance of winning in kayfabe?

Trying to sneak in was the first raw. Gorilla finally throwing him out was Bobby's send off and it was the end of a Raw. It wokrked because it was what Gorilla had threatened him with for years finally happening

I remember me and my bro laughing pretty hard at the thought of Heenan traveling with his own toilet paper

Before their returns, I would have said Lesnar and Goldberg, getting booed out of the building while flipping off a crowd that was singing "na na hey hey goodbye."

Especially when you consider that of those 5 guys, only one actually was able to come back from it.
