Time to finish up with 1992, as we vote for the best out of the second list of movies from that year. Vote for your favorite movie from this part of this year, and, as always, explain your choice (if you like), as well as mention any other movies you might have seen on this list, below.

We will also accept Write in Votes (although, please mention it as such) for movies not included on the list I'm getting the choices off of. However, I will not remove any from the list (I can't by that point), so, if you want to make your case why a certain movie isn't a horror film, make it. Hell, you might end up swaying a few voters from going in that direction, but I can't/won't remove it from the list or DQ it.

Almost tempted to vote for Shin: Kamen Rider Prologue because that sounds crazy dumb. Anyone seen it?

Oof, it bums me out that CANDYMAN got knocked out in the first round but literally ANY of these movies gets to move on. Just had to get that off my chest.

If I have to go with anything here, I guess I'll pick BASKET CASE 3: THE PROGENY, the final film in Frank Hennenlotter's bizarre trilogy. It's okay.

I still haven’t gotten around to seeing Dust Devil. I really should. I am a huge fan of the director’s first film Hardware.

A little under two hours, and we have a battle of Stephen King "adaptations," as Sleepwalkers and The Lawnmower Man are duking it out.

The Lawnmower Man ends up edging out Sleepwalkers to move on to the next round. I didn't vote for either, but I have seen them. The Lawnmower Man was an all right movie with some pretty (for the time) cutting edge computer effects. As previously stated, it has nothing to do with Stephen King's story, but if you watch it disregarding that, it's decent. Also decent is Sleepwalkers, which was adapted from an original King script. Once again, it's OK. Nothing special. Alice Krige is good as the main (incestuous) shapechanging cat person villain. There's some fun cameos in there as well.

Speaking of fun cameos, the one I went for was the second Waxworks, which I actually thought was slightly superior to the first, in the sense that, like Hellraiser II and Phantasm II, we don't have to waste a lot of time setting things up. At the end of the first movie, a severed hand wound up escaping the fire that destroyed the cursed wax works, and winds up jumping into the time stream. Our two heroes/survivors from the first movie must go in after it, as they must clear their names (as they were blamed for the deaths of the others in the first movie). This leads to their jumping into different worlds (influenced by various horror movies/stories). We get fun spoofs/homages of The Haunting/Alien/Dawn of the Dead/various others.

After that....jeez, The Vagrant was decent for what it was, and while I've never seen all of 976-Evil 2, I did see the great part where someone is sucked into a "dream sequence" inspired by mixing It's a Wonderful Life and Night of the Living Dead. Pretty clever. Never saw the rest of the movie, though.

All right....onto 1993, which is also a Two List year.
