Between Owens going back heel again and Charlotte getting yet ANOTHER TITLE MATCH AGAIN I'm really not feeling Smackdown at the moment.

I personally don’t mind KO being heel again. Yeah, it should’ve gone a bit longer, but the subsequent feud between himself and Kofi should be damn good.

Not really, since I always felt KO's heel work was pretty fantastic. And Smackdown lacks a real heel threat since Bryan's injured now and Joe moved.

We could only love one chubby tattooed guy at a time. The Firefly Fun House happened, so face KO had to die.
The (WWE) universe remains balanced.

Yeah face Owens was dope but at the same time this Kingston/Owens feud is going to be great. Kofi's still the hottest male babyface on the roster and the turn and reaction from the fans to Owens tonight was great. You could hear the crowd already loving the idea of this feud and given how these 2 are? The ultimate babyface Kofi Kingston and the mega heely heel Owens? Man, it's great. The setup to the turn to the attack on Woods.
It's gonna be dope. I want Kofi to decisively win this feud and then afterwards he can get cashed in on, I don't care but Kofi's gotta win this one based off what I saw tonight.

Given the circumstances it is fine. Kofi needed a credible heel and the WWE probably felt bad that Kevin was removed from the Mania title mania. Kevin has plenty of time to do a face run 6-12 months from now anyways.

Ugh too soon. I wish they’d have stretched it out some, maybe had KO and Woods win the tag titles to make the eventual turn more impactful. I was hoping Kofi’s first feud would be Orton to bring things full circle.

I honestly saw this coming from a mile away when I started thinking about Kofi’s potential challengers and that Owens was the only real option at the moment.
I don’t mind it, KO can be a fantastic heel, but he was a breath of fresh air as a face.

Yeah, Kofi caught fire and KO became the sacrifice. This f***ing sucks. Hell, he's not even the top heel.

Even though, I would have liked to have gotten another couple weeks out of the Big O, we all knew his turn was inevitable and I personally don't mind it.
I'm just weary that Kingston is going to get Bray Wyatt'd and end up having merely a six week transitional run with the championship, dropping it in his first defense against Owens at "Money in the Bank"
Ideally, I'd like to see Woods face off against Owens next week, with the latter completely decimating the former on the road to him challenging Kofi on May 19th, and at that event have the current champion defeat Kevin via roll-up or in some type of fluke fashion, continuing the feud into the next event where then Kingston could drop the championship to Kevin Owens in some type of stipulation match.
But yeah, this is "same old, same old," but it's the kind of "same old, same old" that I don't really mind because Owens excels in that role and it's a new match-up so as I said, it would have been nice to get a few more weeks out of him being an honorary member of the New Day.
I'm fine with this.

Kevin has plenty of time to do a face run 6-12 months from now anyways. I will say I would not have minded Cesaro/Rusev getting a title shot vs Kofi at MITB but the worry is that it will come off feel liking a real mid-card match with little star power compared to the raw title match. Kofi is trying to get established as a main eventer so I think it's important for him at this stage to work with someone at his level compared to trying to drag up a mid-carder to his status.

I thought the segment was fantastic and gave New Day a shot in the arm as sympathetic babyfaces that I can't wait to see get their hands on Owens.
There aren't a ton of other heel options for Kofi as a filler opponent that has credibility on the heel side other than Orton. Nakamura and Rusev are better utilized running over the tag division right now since they've burned their credibility as main event guys for the time being. They need to build Andrade up quite a bit more if they ever have any hopes of using him in that spot.
Owens simply works best as a heel IMO (same for Miz for me) and now he's going against someone that will really get him booed, especially the way he turned on him. For now, I'm liking it.

Someone for Kofi to beat before Reigns gets the title.
