So that's going to be an even bigger hit against actually using new party members in the palaces where you get them. Unless they also make Baton Pass a general mechanic instead of tying it into confidants, which would likely be a good move.

Right, but the issue is that you can't start someone's confidant until after their introductory palace is finished, so they can't use Baton Pass during it.

Yeah, this has to be a combat mechanic then in thinking about it that way. Considering the palace and part of the story can take a few hours before you "unlock" the character as a confidant after, having the baton pass just be a battle mechanic as opposed to confidant perk seems best Can always had the perks as part of the confidant chain like they did already

Admittedly am rather confused / slightly put off by a couple of those screenshots being scenes from the original game. Sort of makes me wonder if the existing stuff won't actually be that different, which'd be a shame since a lot of the confidants have room to be improved.

At worst I assume they change a lot of the "outside stuff" you can do, meaning having more destinations for hangouts Having the ability to hang out with a few people at once would been nice too

Yeah that's...a lot.
I'm in this weird place where I want to get back into Persona 5 and finish it but also this thing is lingering but not much can transfer over so I'd have to start again but...I already played a lot of Persona 5 so...I don't want to lose that?

I mean if you're close to finishing it out then I say finish it out just to get the full experience of the Vanilla game You're starting from the beginning from the royal edition so best to enjoy all the perks you got of your save file. I plan on getting back into my 2nd playthrough soon enough with my new game plus just because in that I was doing all the confidant stuff I didn't do before plus having more time thanks to do other stuff thanks to perks carrying over

I wonder why Makoto’s the only one with a trailer who hasn’t had their third persona revealed?

I think them adding an All Out Attack screen for Futaba might be one of my favorite new things. It's minor but I've been super curious what hers would look like.
As for Makoto, I just hope her third Persona goes back to being a bike.

Not Persona, but Atlus released a free demo for Catherine: Full Body on the PS4.
