LGBT fan from Texas, just started watching. If this was a regular show I'd start on season 1, but there's so much content! Where should I start?

Have you ever seen ANY wrestling before at all, and what other things have you liked watching in the past? I just recently got a bunch of fellow queers into wrestling so I may be able to help...

Seriously question: Does your sexual orientation affect the kind of wrestling you enjoy?

I went to a live show in Texas b/c I got free tickets. Other than that, not a lot.
To the other question, my sexual orientation doesn't affect the "kind" of wrestling I enjoy, but for me the guys are what got me through the door and had me watching. These WWE guys are HAWT. Suprisingly I stayed for the entertainment.

I like men that look like real men. Guys like Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens are the type of men that we like in Texas. But once you get past the guys, I liked the pagentry and bad boy bravado.

In the mid 2000s WWE had plenty of dudes like that, Cade and Murdoch, Umaga, Lord Tensai, Brodus Clay... If you want older manly men doing manly things and fighting other manly men... check out the NWA as a whole from the 80s, Arn Anderson, Harly Race, Ron Garvin, Magnum T.A., Road Warriors... among many many others.

Where would you recommend I start? The problem is that there is so much!

Where would you recommend I start? The problem is that there is so much! Find wrestlers you like then ask for career highlights I say. That's how I'd recommend someone start. And from there you'll find more moments and shows and characters and wrestlers to fan out into. Wrestling is strange when compared to traditional tv, there isn't a good universal starting point or even must watch bullet points that everyone can agree on. There's so many wrestlers, so many companies, so many styles of wrestling, it's really hard to make recommendations blindly. Like what I like is weird idiocy like WCW Dungeon of Doom shenanigans, WrestleMania IX as a whole, anything you can find labeled as "wrestlecrap" basically. That's what I'm into largely, the cartoon buffoonery.

Thanks for the reply and suggestions. I'm going to check some of these people out.
