I like that this documentary didn't crap on Magee and talk about what a lousy worker he really was, etc. It was almost framed as though the company failed him in a way by not really putting him with solid workers on a regular basis so he could figure out his craft, that he was a potentially great athlete that was lost in the ether.

Bobby, I know I need a Ouija board to tell you this, but Bobby McGee was from the Janis Joplin song. It was Billy Joe McAllister who jumped off the bridge.
As an obsessive Bobbie Gentry fan, I felt the need to mention this.

That Mary Kate lady use to do photography for Ring of Honor back in the day right? I remember there was a big backlash for when she got fired. I thought that was her! I texted my brother because she looked familiar from the ROH shows I used to attend.

Does anyone find it ironic that it was Dave Meltzer who hyped this match up to the “legend” it became but WWE at large ignores Meltzers existence but now they are promoting this so heavily as the most infamous lost match. All off Dave’s promotion of it originally

I just watched it. Does it end after the match? Because my screen went black after they still framed on Magee.

I think the mini build up documentary was awesome. The Network is just so great for things like this

Magee looks good nowadays and is down to earth about the whole thing, and just being thankful that he got to work with Bret that night.

I loved Bret's "Have you got it?" when he was asked if he wanted to watch it.
Really good match. Bret was a master of his craft even then. Sad thing is, Magee probably could've been a star if he'd worked Bret and DiBiase constantly like Waltman said. Closest thing we have to a new Bret Hart match too!

Man, Bret really was the best ever.
I’m convinced he could drag even ME to a great match. His psychology and storytelling is second to none. They just don’t do it like him anymore.

Just watched the special. Very enjoyable, both the doc and match.
- I'm glad Magee is in good health now. I saw that pic of him after the attack. It's jarring at first seeing him not huge, but he's just normal size human now.
- That was a nice tv match too. The crowd reactions were great. Not hyperbole when Monsoon says they're on their feet for Magee. They really loved him that night and hated Bret. I especially liked that one fan throwing up middle finger at Bret at the entrance way.
- It'd very Vince move to make sure everyone in earshot hear you proclaim Magee his new world champ and then to Magee be like we'll bring you along slowly.
- I was distracted by X-Pac's cute little dog sleeping.

I'm watching it again. It's fun seeing everyone being so enthusiastic and intrigued by the legend and for Tom Magee to be shown in a positive light.

This was a fun watch. I really enjoyed the build to the match - especially seeing Harry Smith and his impression of Bret.

Great match for 1986. You can tell Magee is a little lost between moves and is waiting for Bret's instructions.
Magee in the doc seemed like a really good dude.

Just watched this. Here are my thoughts:
- The documentary was fantastic. Why can't WWE put this much intrigue and emotion into their regular product?
- The match was very, very good for 1986 WWF. I quite enjoyed it.
- Bret Hart is the freaking GOAT in between those ropes, and I thought it was really cool to see a "new" match of his.
- I want more stuff like this on the Network.
- I hope Tom Magee can manage to get a few pay days from autograph signings and stuff after this.

In an alternate universe, the Mega Powers had three members, Hogan, Macho and Magee, brothas.

I thought the Network didn't usually add logos to older footage? That huge title in the top right-hand corner was pretty distracting.
