My top five, in rough order, are
17 19 14 20 21
So I'd say 19 is the second-best Mania ever. Though if Bray had beaten Cena then 30 would definitely be up there.

Looked up the card for 8, looks like a great card and all but the Main Event should of def been Flair vs Macho, like why did they have a dq ending to their main event? Hogan must pose

It is a testament to just how good Mania 19 was that it still ended up being an amazing show even after the ending to Trips/Booker. Not to mention Austins health issues the previous day, Kurts health issues, Brocks scary botch etc. Its a miracle that 19 is still so good despite all the problems that plagued it.

17 30 14 35 10 (I need to revisit 8, toss-up between it and 10 for that last spot)

I think 27 is the first one I saw apart from a couple of them when I was a kid and we rented the vhs. I've seen several since 27. That said, the one this year apart from that slowdown with the baron, drew, lashley and triple h was fantastic. Up until those matches the show was just blazing along with minimal crap and the booking was on par. I don't think anyone won that night who shouldn't have (though the triple threat needed a stronger ending and Triple H's match should have been 10-15 minutes shorter). I didn't see the preshow though so that might have helped.

Personal favourite is 30. 31 is also really good. I have soft spots for 22, 23 and 24.
What makes 17 so good isnt so much the wrestling but just the way the booking resolves itself. Everything was constructed and executed really well.

It’s kind of ruined by later events but 20 should be up there.

I'd probably put 30 as the second best from an unbiased perspective.
If I'm being biased it's 30, 35, 17.

As far as the second most hyped, that is likely 3.
As far as second most critical acclaim, that is probably 19, 20, 30 or 8.
As far as the one I enjoy the second most, I think it's actually 2000, even though it's not that good a show.

17 30 19 10 8 Those 5 are far and away the best Wrestlemanias I think. That’s a pretty solid list, but I might put 22 in that last spot.

The other really good ones besides 17:
3 - besides the game changing Steamboat v Savage and the Hogan v Andre main event; there was the six man tag; Piper v Adonis and the general sense of something special a-happening
8- first mania I saw and will always have a soft spot for it. Flair v Savage; Bret v Piper; Jake v Taker; and the surprise return of the Warrior in the main event.
19 - really great in terms of match quality - even Booker v Triple H is a good match if you can get past the outcome. Brock v Angle; Hogan v McMahon; Rock v Austin; and the show stealing Jericho v HBK.
21 - the start of the Cena era in a forgettable match but the card is stacked beyond that - with Angle v HBK a five star clinic; Orton v Taker; the first MITB; Piper’s Pit with Austin; Batista v Triple H
24 - I’m sorry, I love you. And beyond that there was the excellent Edge v Taker; the fun Cena v Orton v Triple H; Punk winning MITB; even Big Show v Mayweather was better than it had a right to be.
28 - the first mania I went to so huge soft spot for this. Taker v HHH in the cell is a classic; Rock v Cena lived up to the hype and Jericho v Punk is massively underrated.
30 - hands down the best show I have ever been to live. I think it is ahead of 17 as the best mania - with the whole Daniel Bryan saga magnificent; plus the sheer emotion of the streak ending.
31- even without Seth’s cash in at the end this was a superb show - Seth v Orton has one of the best finishes ever; Sting v HHH was fun despite the inexplicable ending; ladder match a nice moment with Bryan winning. Again I was at this show so I am a bit biased.
35 - it may have lasted far too long but it was a superb show overall - with Kofi v Daniel Bryan arguably the best match I have seen live; the women’s main event excellent and Seth slaying the beast.
Honerable mentions to 6, 7, 10, 14, 20, 22 & 23
